A massive night of boxing is coming to the Sandton Convention Centre.

Former seven-time IBO Cruiserweight World Champion and former WBC World Bridgerweight Champion **Kevin β€œTwo Guns” Lerena** returns to the cruiserweight division where he made his name, taking on Scotland’s **Scott Forrest**.

Forrest brings serious pedigree, having boxed for Team GB and represented Scotland internationally. His amateur career includes two Commonwealth Games appearances, nine Scottish titles, two British titles and a World Championship silver medal.

SA Life Digital Magazine looks beyond the headline to the defining year that earned Kevin his Sportsman of the Year nomination at the 19th South African Sport Awards.

It was a year of history made, courage shown and opportunity created.

Kevin became the first South African boxer to successfully defend a WBC world title, achieving the milestone before 7,600 supporters on home soil. He then stepped up to heavyweight and challenged for the WBC Heavyweight Silver Title at Wembley Stadium in front of approximately 90,000 spectators.
