Hello All

Summer is here yayyyyyyy! And RubyWOO is on hand to ensure you look your very best on the beach, by the pool or drinking a cheeky cocktail at the bar!

Here are a few RubyWOO Tips for a stylish summer…..

1. MAKE A STATEMENT WITH YOUR SHADES

Sunglasses are functional but they don't have to be boring.
Firstly, think about the shape of your face.
Generally we say go opposite, so for example, a round face will
look best in squarer frames.

Then choose a colour that flatters your skin tone.
This will also depend on your own style personality.

2. COVER UP

A pretty beach cover up is a stylish staple with a multi-purpose. As well as protecting you from the sun, it's useful to pop over your swimwear at lunchtime and a great confidence booster if you really don't like to walk around the pool in just your bikini. Choose a shape and colour that flatters, and you'll feel a million dollars.

3. ACCESSORIES

There's no doubting that the eye is drawn to jewellery … which of course means that we can use this to our advantage. Divert the eye away from your not-so-good bits by layering pretty bracelets on your wrist, or use statement earrings in bold pops of colour to add a touch of glamour!

Choose your best metal. Warm skin tones suit gold, whilst cool skin tones look fabulous in silver.

Well ...we really hope that April isn't a washout but it's always best to be prepared. So, can we talk about umbrellas? Black brollies to be precise, our pet hate! Why? Because they cast dark shadows across the face making us look tired and unhealthy.

Charlize Theron has changed her look. Once a LIGHT, now a CLEAR! Her powder blue outfit and make-up (at The Academy Awards) was best suited to her previous palette. DON’T GO PINK IN THE SUN!

To make sure you are looking your gorgeous self at all times this summer….remember the sun cream rules!

UVA = Anti Aging
UVB = Anti Burning
(look for both on the bottle, the more stars the better!)

SPF factors are not indicative of their strength… i.e factor 50 is not more protective that factor 10 it just means you can stay in the sun for longer.
For example;

Factor 10 = you can be protected in the sun for 10 x 10 mins
Factor 30 = you can be protected in the sun for 30 x 10 mins
Factor 50 = you can be protected in the sun for 50 x 10 mins

TRAVEL IN STYLE THIS SUMMER

If your summer getaway is getting closer you'll likely be starting to think about what to pack.

How often do you find you take a suitcase PACKED with outfits, only to return with (at least) half of them un-worn?

Here are our Top Tips to ensure you can travel LIGHT and in STYLE this summer….

PLAN IT OUT

If you're going away for a two week beach holiday ask yourself honestly how many daytime outfits you really need. Chances are you'll be spending most of your time in swimwear and a cover-up. If you plan to wear each cover-up three times then really you only need four or five daytime outfit options to see you through a two week holiday.

The same applies to evening outfit options too; wear each item three times and take separates so you can mix and match them, as well as a few accessories to ensure you can keep variety throughout your trip.

DOWNSIZE

There's no need to take full-size beauty products away with you. Decant them into smaller bottles which will take up much less space in your suitcase.

We also recommend taking minimum make-up products. Stick with your tried and tested favourites, rather than taking a selection. Going for a more natural look on holiday will allow your skin to breathe and your natural beauty to shine through.

PACK SMART

Get organised with separate garment bags for your clothes.

We recommend using a separate bag for each type of clothing so you can easily see what you have and ensure you wear it all - a little like having perfectly organised portable wardrobe!

These handy bags are also great for ensuring your accessories stay separated and don't pull or damage your clothing as well as ensuring your footwear doesn't leave any marks on your favourite dress!
