Trying to sell through dealers, but they keep nickel & diming you for additional margins, advertising cost, product placement fees, and any other fee they can throw at you just to have a hope you can turn over product on their shelves?

Here’s the truth. It’s your job to create demand for your brand.

Here’s how we do it for our clients:

1) Run a targeted video ad in geographical areas around your dealerships across the country. Leveraging influencers and/or product demonstrations is best.

2) Then target anybody who watched 25+% of that video with a product-focused ad, and send them to your dealer locater. Or if you can do a manufacturer rebate, or even mail-in bonus, then send them to a registration page.

3) After they’ve registered, or used your dealer locater, keep following them around with ads that reinforce your product. Testimonial videos, results videos, transformation stories, etc. to keep their desire high and give them time to go to the store, while still staying top of mind.

This works, this crushes.

One of the biggest mistakes I see with small businesses online is they all post actual final product they sell.

Some industries can get away with more of this, others need to stop it altogether.

But what all businesses need to be doing more of is showing/telling HOW you got the final product. Think of it as “Behind The Scenes”.

Here are some examples how to do that:

🥔Retail stores
🥚🥚Unboxing videos, or interviews with the creators of your products

🥔Photographers
🥚🥚Get some shots of you running a shoot...or my favorite is the “meta” shot where the angle is from behind you, showing you, the camera with the people on the screen, and the people/subject. It tells the story of YOU, not just the story of your subjects

🥔Any creative business
🥚🥚Show your creating space, the outtakes, show the inspiration of the final product. Your goal is to tell the story of how you arrived at your product, not just your final product

🥔Any service-based business
🥚🥚Educate people! This is my favorite, and the purpose of our Facebook Group. Teach people so much they can do what you’re doing themselves, or at least feel like they understand it as good as you. In an Information Age, people just want to think they could do it themselves, and 99% of people still won’t. But in the process of teaching, you become the person they trust most when they’re ready to buy.

Don’t let this list limit you! It’s just a starting point.

But as you’re testing new ideas, remember the goal of social is engagement, trust, VALUE!!

Only ever posting a final product is like only ever selling your products in at a party. Does it work? Some. Should you do it? Some. Should you only do it? If your goal is for people to ignore you, then yes.

The story and context of your product is not only better for social media, you’ll quickly find its better for sales anyways!

Selling your products online through your e-commerce site?

Here are 3 mistakes everybody makes running their own Facebook Ads:

1. Don’t always sell from the first ad. Split up your audiences, and make sure the first ad people see warms them up to your product and brand. NOT just forces them to make a buying decision on first exposure.

2. RETARGET anybody who visits your product pages, or adds to cart using Facebook’s dynamic product ads (DPA). Ever been to Amazon and seen the exact products follow you around on Facebook? That’s a DPA. It’s one of the most fundamental ways to capture a positive Return on your AdSpend. This is where your profit comes from (truly), and one of the first Ads we set up for all our clients.

3. Post-Purchase Ads: exclude purchasers from your other ads. And instead show them ads that get them excited to use your products, upsells other products, reminds them for re-orders if that’s applicable, or even just thanks them for ordering! Buyers are buyers are buyers. Be tasteful about it, but keep them in love with your brand and they will keep buying!
