Hey y'all, been nice and quiet here in camp, but, as of 2021(pandemic permitting), that's looking to change. Vae Victis will be back, and I hope to have a show outlined for whenever shows can happen again. I miss you all more than I can put into words. Keep healthy, wear your mask!

Oh, and remember,
Black lives fu***ng matter, stay away from any of my shows if you disagree.

So uh... Let's talk about Master Sword because... Wow! I, much like a fan eagerly excited for a new film in their series of choice, avoided any teasers because I wanted to be blown away with no prior knowledge of the album. But this new album of theirs is a power metal behemoth. There's the high soaring vocals you expect from albums past, but there's a level of grit that I found rather refreshing. The opening track after a short intro starts with some satisfying riff work that absolutely blows my mind. Here's a band that knows full well they can do blisteringly fast and complex riffs and solos, but they have the ability to slow to a galloping riff that almost makes you feel like Link riding across Hyrule. If I had more time (and about six more spins of the album) I'd gladly do a track by track review so that might happen. But simply put, Master Sword knocked it out of the park. Again. Go ahead and have yourself a listen. Call it a belated Christmas/Yule/Chanukah/etc present.

Well, I've reached 200 likes, never thought I'd get this far...
It's bittersweet really, Saturday being my last show for awhile, but even the centurion must rest for a time, a life of battle for the metal legions takes it's toll on the mightiest of men. Make no mistake though, if hosting Wilderun and Wandering Oak has taught me anything... It's that I love what I do. I WILL be back in time, stronger than ever! May the metal gods watch over you.
Vae Victis, signing off.

So it's with a bit of pain but also much needed relief that I have to say I am stepping away from my monthly matinee's at The Depot for the rest of the year. January 2020 will signal my return to regularly booking gigs, but for the time being, I'm making good on my obligations to promote a show in November and that'll be it for the year. I love all of you who've supported what I'm doing and it will return, but I've burnt my candle at both ends and I need to recharge. Huge thank you to the Sekengard, Salem Band and Teshaleh camps for being supportive babes especially in recent months. Thank you to Greg and Margaret at The Depot. And most importantly, thank you to all the fans that have come to support this amazing fu***ng scene. I'll see you all in November ❤

Despite some individuals trying to derail this show before it began because I choose to stand by my friends, tonight’s show at The Depot has been phenomenal. It’s easily been my highest attendance ever and far beyond the best grossing show I’ve had the pleasure of hosting. There’s no words for how thankful I am for this scene, the amazing people in it, and the amazing music that comes out of it.

Thank you all so fu***ng much for believing in a young promoter with a dream to keep metal strong here in Baltimore. I couldn’t ask for anymore.
