Little did I know when I started the Surrey Social that it would attract such a fabulous community.

I love bringing together local business owners and creatives for a couple of hours to chat, share ideas and genuinely connect.

There’s a kind of energy and buzz you just can’t measure, and you only get it when you’re in the room together.

2) With so much generic AI content out there, I think it’s very cool to have your own opinions and show up as a real person online…

3) I’ve been lucky enough to meet some amazing digital trailblazers IRL. Here’s me with Martha Keith - I’m in awe of all that she continues to achieve 💕

4) Going to Atomicon in Newcastle by myself was a good shove out of my comfort zone of wfh, but I had a blast and met many fantastic people 💗

Celebrating 7 years of running my own business by doing one of the things I value most: working flexibly. It meant I could finally go to Wimbledon for the first time earlier this week! 🎾

After years of applying, I finally got lucky in the ballot.

I took my sport-mad youngest for a post-GCSE celebration.

It was a very hot day, but it was so special watching Sinner play and soaking up the atmosphere of such an institution 🍓

📸 New Instagram feature! Comments are no longer just text. You can now add photos directly to the comments section, which means the comments section is becoming content in its own right.

This could be a game changer for so many accounts. People often head straight to the comments, and with the ability to add images, it’s now easier than ever to grab attention visually and spark more engagement.

Think about how you could use this:

📸 Businesses can answer customer questions with photos, showcase products in different colours or settings, share before-and-after results, or highlight customer success stories.

📸 Brands can encourage their community to post photos of how they use a product, turning the comments section into a gallery of user-generated content.

📸 Service providers can showcase examples of their work, case studies, transformations, etc.

I think this is a genuinely useful update and the photo comments will become the new way to stand out, build trust, and drive engagement.
