Last Thursday, we spent the morning speaking with BA Digital Marketing students at Birmingham City University about the realities of working in the industry, the soft skills that actually matter, and what helps people stand out early in their careers.
Alongside Hannah sharing her journey from in-house marketing to Managing Director, Ben also spoke about his own route into the agency through his Masters placement, which led to securing a part-time role with us.
One of the biggest themes across both talks was that progression in this industry rarely comes from just technical ability alone. The people who stand out are usually the ones who take ownership, show curiosity, adapt quickly, think commercially, and actively look for ways to improve things.
Really appreciate BCU for having us in and great to see so many students already thinking seriously about where they want to take their careers next!
