I struggle with getting letters cut from cardstock on my Cricut cleanly off the mat and onto my transfer tape. What I do is to
1) burnish them onto the tape with my bone folder,
2) while I hold the tops of each letter in place,
3) gently "wiggle" under them with my small scraper
4) pull them onto the tape.
5) With my fingers gently press each letter between the scraper and the tape to secure them in place.
Whew! The chances of any of the letters going wonky (technical term) is pretty high.
Do you you have an easier way?
What is your hack?

There is pure magic when you glue the sides of all the layers to the card base and watch the card pop up 45 degrees as it opens!

In this quick assembly view, we are using 80lb cover cardstock for the pop-up mechanism box and 65lb textured paper for the flowers.

If you make 3D paper pop-up cards, nothing is more frustrating than having delicate paper flower petals or intricate lace borders chew up right at the end of a cut!

Here are 3 quick Cricut settings tweaks to get butter-smooth 3D cuts every single time:

1️⃣ Use the "Cardstock for Intricate Cuts" setting — it automatically performs two lighter passes instead of one heavy drag!
2️⃣ Clean your Fine-Point Blade with a tin foil ball to clear micro paper dust.
3️⃣ Secure cardstock edges with painter’s tape on a LightGrip (blue) mat!

A big basket of treats my husband and I put together for the heros who care for my parents at Generations Memory Care. We're headed out to give it to them now.

CONFESSIONS OF A PAPER CRAFTAHOLIC: I created this articulated join for paper after making articulated paper dolls for my granddaughers. (I love engineering interactive paper projects!) It is pretty fail-safe and will be even better after I make it on my Cricut with a clean SVG file. The two pieces of paper have to be at least an inch wide to work, so it would be too big for the small paper doll fairies. But, what else could I make with this join that would be cool?
