I wish I could go back and talk to the girl in this picture.
The one who was busting her a** for her career, convinced that climbing the ladder was the only way to provide for her family. The one who was constantly exhausted, burnt out, and barely seeing the people who mattered most to her. She was running on fumes, chasing a version of success that only left her feeling empty.
I wish I could tell her to stop.
To take a step back. To really look at her life and realize that the dreams she kept tucking away in the corners of her heart weren’t crazy.
I wish I could tell her to take the leap sooner. That it all works out. That the life she imagined for herself—the one with more time for her kids, less stress, and more freedom—wasn’t just a dream. It was a reality waiting for her if she had the courage to choose it.
I wish I could tell her that chasing her career at the cost of her family wasn’t worth it. But chasing her heart? That’s where everything changes.
I’d tell her that she deserves to feel happy and whole, not just burnt out and “successful.” That there’s a way to do it all differently. That she has what it takes to create a life where time, freedom, and peace aren’t just wishes—they’re her everyday reality.
To the girl in this picture, I’d say:
Trust yourself. Take the leap. It’s scary, yes—but it’s so, so worth it.
And now, looking back, I’m so proud of her for finally saying yes. For taking a chance on herself, on her family, and on the life she truly deserved.
If you’re reading this and feeling like that girl in the picture… consider this your sign.
Take the leap.
