Rhodes PNG Limited are currently seeking experienced applicants suitable for the HSSEQ Superintendent role in POM.

The acronym HSSEQ stands for Health, Security, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management Superintendent. It is a specialized field that focuses on ensuring the health, safety, environmental sustainability, and quality management of an organization. An HSSEQ Superintendent is responsible for implementing and enforcing an internal Health, Security ,Safety, Environment, and Quality Management audit schedule. They maintain the management system and identify and implement initiatives to improve it, including all procedures, processes, and safe systems of work, offering support and advice on risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH.

Some of the basic qualifications needed to become a HSSEQ Manager include:
• HSE Proficiency Certification: HSE Level I, 2 & 3
• NEBOSH IGC: NEBOSH international general certificate
• OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001: Occupational health and safety standard
• ISO 9001: Quality management standard
• ISO 14001: Environmental management standard together with relevant experience.

The responsibilities of a HSSEQ Superintendent include:
• Providing legislative and regulation advice on all matters relating to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management
• Liaising with registration bodies, customers, and suppliers as necessary to resolve problems.
• Maintaining quality accreditations for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, and ISO/IEC UKAS 17020
• Ensuring periodic audits are scheduled to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Establishing the minimum standard required by area office representatives.
• Managing and maintaining quality training requirements for office representatives
• Having overall responsibility/authority for all incidents and accident investigations
• Advising the group on legislative and regulation updates
• Ensuring all QMS documentation is kept up to date as required.

• Experience in Building and Construction environment
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong Communication and professionalism
• Computer literate

Qualification;
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Graduate Certificate in Risk Management, or similar
• Certified Chartered OHS Professional (ChOHSP)
• Exemplar Global Certified Lead OHS Auditor
• Lead Auditor Qualification
