Be Afrika

Be Afrika Connect with readers, innovators and creators of Be Afrika Discovered Magazine! It’s main focus points are on fashion, beauty, arts, business and lifestyle.

BE AFRIKA MEDIA LTD is a content creating company that works as a creative collaboration, focusing on building brands and the creative sector in Afrika. We have an interest in identifying, empowering and ensuring that creatives have an enabling environment to support their talent. The creative generation and creative sector has made huge strides in contribution to Afrika’s economy, and we would li

ke to promote that. BE Discovered Magazine is a monthly Creative Culture, Digital Magazine that launched in September 2017. The aim of the magazine is to appeal to the readers desire to be international while keeping it Afrikan content. Quality features, stories, interviews and pictures and have both local and international content, this helps us build a loyal audience to the publication. Our unique qualities are to stay current and stay focused on the issues affecting the youth of Afrika right now. Our aim is to encourage, educate and empower creatives on the importance of being true to oneself and crafts. Afrika has recently witnessed a large surge in interest in the creative sector, that has led people into the creative economy but, unfortunately they don't have the tools to navigate the sector. We give opportunities for creatives to come together, discuss ideas and pitch them to our clients, whether it is in brand development, activations, marketing and design. BE is more than a media company, it is an education center as Afrika grows in the digital world as an information, talent and skill export continent. The truth is that we need more creatives in positions of influence — to color the world with beauty and life. And Afrika needs more of those kinds of leaders, who see and believe in the vision creatives are shaping.

AI is rapidly reshaping the creative industry, introducing both exciting opportunities and complex challenges. From art and music to film, design, and content creation, AI is becoming an indispensable tool for creators, offering new ways to innovate, streamline processes, and expand possibilities. However, its impact is not without controversy, as it also raises questions about authenticity, labor, and ownership in creative work.

“Imminent shift in taste.” Ms. Cosgrove identifies on the horizon is one spurred just as much by the recent boom in the market for Modern and contemporary African work as it is by the knock-on effects of debates over the return of colonial-era plunder. These are developments that are almost always considered in isolation, but Cosgrove is part of a growing school of thought that recognises both as tributaries to a broader whole.
