A friend said to me last week, “Look how far you’ve come.”

And it made me think about how much trust I have had to have in myself to build who I am today.

I made a decision a long time ago that I was no longer available for an average life.

I wanted more - more confidence, better life experiences, a more expansive way of living.

I knew I couldn’t create that by constantly looking outside of myself for reassurance.

I had to learn how to trust myself - which was new territory for someone who didn’t grow up with bags of confidence.

I think this is where so many people stay stuck in the same cycle.

They wait until they feel 100% ready. They hold off until someone else’s says ‘yes, you should definitely do that’, they
keep searching for proof that it is the right decision before they even start.

Years ago, I worked with a mentor who told me to ‘burn the boats’ and to give myself no other option.

Because if you want more out of this life, you have to realise there is no other way. No shortcuts, no quick fixes, no putting it off until you feel 100% ready.

It’s not always easy. I learnt a lot of very valuable lesson along the way. There have been times when things didn’t work out how I planned. But more often than not, they worked out better than I could have imagined.

So if you want different results, at some point you have to stop reading the self-help books and thinking, “I really should start doing this.”

Because your next level will not come from knowing everything in advance. It comes from trusting yourself enough to start.

For years, I have helped clients experience the power of aligning their inner world with their outer expression.

Updating my own brand photography was long overdue. I would never let a client go this long without refreshing the visuals that represent their brand, and it was time for mine to reflect my own evolution.

I wanted these images to feel like an honest expression of who I am now. Not the version of me I have outgrown.

A huge thank you to the incredible , who understood the mission from the beginning - to not only update my photographs but to capture the energy, confidence and authenticity behind the brand.

And it really does take a village. Bar the styling which was obviously me, the finished result was down to my very own glam squad.

My brilliant and ever patient

A huge thank you to my brilliant and hairdresser .thehaircollective who has been part of many of my hair evolutions, and the fabulous who created makeup that still felt like me.

There is so much that goes into creating images that feel aligned. The styling, the details, the direction and, most importantly, the trust.

Now just the 922 images to choose from for the new website…

I joined back in January after a chance conversation over coffee with my good friend

I had shared with her my vision for EVOLVE in 2026 and how I wanted to connect with people who were working on their mindset while growing successful businesses.

Little did I know that conversation would turn into unexpected friendships, business collaborations and a hosting role I certainly wasn’t expecting, but quite clearly manifested.

Last week, hosted its first major event. A room full of business owners and entrepreneurs who are serious about connection, growth, mindset and opportunity.

And with the announcement that Thrive has now gone global, it was such a powerful reminder of what can happen when the right people come together and share a vision.

This is why the rooms we put ourselves in matter so much.

They don’t just introduce you to other people. They expand your thinking, stretch your confidence and bring opportunities you may not have accessed on your own.

And sometimes, they hand you the microphone at the very last minute and trust you to hold the room.

One conversation over coffee became a catalyst for rooms, relationships and opportunities I didn’t see coming.

If you are a business owner who knows the right room could stretch your thinking, your confidence and your opportunities, new global membership is absolutely worth exploring.

I’ve always told myself I am not a spontaneous person.

I like to plan ahead, I want to know what’s happening and when, it makes me feel organised and in control.

For weeks, months even, I’ve been telling myself that May is crazy. Too much going on, too many commitments, a diary full of activities and appointments.

Then I realised I was using the famous ‘I’m too busy’ as a reason to delay a decision that would actually light my future self up!!

On Friday, I’m travelling to see a client and it would have been so easy to fly in and fly home on the same day.

Obviously that would have been the sensible decision - the one I would usually make!

But somewhere in between all of the doing, planning and organising, I realised I wasn’t actually living.

So instead of doing what I’ve always done, I’ve extended my trip by three days!

It wasn’t the most convenient decision but it was the decision my future self would thank me for.

It made me think - what excuses are you making that are holding you back?

The ‘I’m too busy’, the ‘it’s not the right time’, ‘the I’ll think about it later’

And what decision would your future self thank you for making today?

Because sometimes the life we say we want starts with one aligned decision we stop talking ourselves out of.

I see so many incredible coaches out there talking about how a strong personal brand can help you refine your message, create stronger content, elevate your positioning, increase your visibility and grow your earning potential.

But there is one part of the personal brand conversation that is still being overlooked.

Your image - which is the external expression of your personal brand.

It is communicated through your clothing, colours, grooming, posture, presence and visual consistency.

It starts speaking before someone has had the chance to read your caption, book onto your programme, listen to your podcast or even start a conversation with you.

You can have a clear message, strong positioning and powerful content, but if your image is telling a different story, people can still feel the disconnect.

You may be positioning yourself as premium, but your image does not communicate that level.

You may want to be seen as an authority in your field, but your clothes do not create that visual cue.

You may want to attract higher level clients, but your personal presentation does not yet reflect the standard of the work you deliver.

Your personal brand is the full experience of who you are.

When your image reflects your personal brand, you build trust, communicate your authority and become easier to remember.

I would highly recommend working with a personal brand coach of your choice, but your image needs to be part of that conversation too.

Because your image is already communicating. The question is - does it reflect the brand you are building?

This is the work I do with clients. Aligning their image, identity and personal brand so they can show up with more clarity, confidence and impact.

If you are ready to align how you are seen with the brand you are building, email [email protected] to enquire about working together.

Before you introduce yourself at a networking event, your image has already started the conversation.

By the time you introduce yourself and explain what you do, people have already started receiving information from your image.

The colours you wear, the structure of your outfit, your grooming, your posture and your overall presence.

This morning I’m heading to the first ever and I’m wearing this red outfit from Marella Belfast.

Red communicates confidence, energy and impact.

But the power is not just in the colours you wear, it’s in the intention behind it.

When your image reflects who you are and how you want to be experienced, you enter the room with confidence, clarity, and certainty.

That is the power of dressing with intention because your visibility begins long before you have the chance to ever say a word.

Many of my private clients have full lives, demanding diaries and high expectations of themselves. They don’t have the time, headspace or desire to keep making decisions about clothes that don’t feel right.

They are running businesses, leading teams, travelling, attending events and making decisions all day long, so the last thing they want to do is spend their evenings mindlessly scrolling through websites, second guessing what will work, ordering pieces in multiple sizes, trying everything on at home and arranging returns when the reality does not match the image they had in their head.

This client came to me because she wanted to feel more ‘put together’, which is a phrase I hear from almost every client I have ever worked with.

She was tired of relying on the same outfits on repeat. She wanted pieces that reflected who she was, suited the life she was actually living and supported the way she wanted to be seen.

So we approached her wardrobe with strategy and intention.

I selected pieces with her lifestyle, colouring, proportions, personality and image in mind, so every recommendation had a reason behind it and every piece had a purpose within that bigger picture.

This is the difference private client work creates.

It is about removing the time, overwhelm and second guessing from the process and replacing it with clarity, discernment and a wardrobe that feels aligned with who you are now.

Because when your wardrobe is selected with intention, you stop wasting hours ordering and returning pieces that were never quite right for you in the first place.

You begin to experience the confidence of knowing your wardrobe has been considered properly, with pieces chosen to support your life, your presence and the level you are stepping into.

For private client enquiries, email me directly to discuss working together.

I regularly work with clients ahead of their professional headshots or brand photography for their business.

Because these photographs should represent who you are, what you stand for, and the level you are stepping into.

I think beyond the outfits, because while what you wear absolutely matters, the real power is in the strategy behind the image! The colours you choose, the structure of your garments, the visual cues they communicate, and the energy behind your core values.

These are the details many people would never think to consider when doing it alone, yet they make all the difference to how your images feel, land and represent you.

Depending on the level of support required, I can also recommend trusted photographers, help organise hair and make up, and be there on the day to assist with outfit styling, finishing touches and visual direction, so the whole experience feels seamless.

Your brand photographs matter because they are often the first thing people see before they decide to enquire, book, collaborate or trust you.

And yes, I also keep a record of shoot dates, so time doesn’t lapse while you are still using images from ten years ago!!

For far too long, visual authority in the workplace has been mistaken for always wearing black, opting for high contrast and choosing harsh lines.

How many of you are still adhering to that outdated belief, even when you know, deep down, that it does feel aligned with who you truly are?

What you really need to know is visual authority - whether you’re leading a team, meeting with clients or presenting in a boardroom - isn’t created by wearing things that overpower you, it is created through alignment.

Colours the support you, structure that gives shape to your frame, fabrics that holds their form throughout your working day.

For those with a softer, cooler palette, this might include depth through French navy, pewter, slate blue, damson, plum, deep rose or cool burgundy.

But colour is only one part of your visual messaging.

Visual authority is also created through the cut of a jacket, the weight of a fabric, the clarity of a neckline, the proportion of an outfit, the quality of a shoe, the way a look is finished off and the consistency of how often you show up.

The goal is not to dress harsher to be taken seriously, it’s create presence through alignment.

When your image supports you, your authority feels more authentic, more credible, more embodied.

This is the work I do with client, helping them build an image that supports their identity, presence and professional authority.

To begin that process for yourself, contact me via email.

Life moves so quickly.

Sometimes you’re so busy holding everything together that you almost forget to stop for a second and take it all in.

Four children. A business. Clients to serve. A home to run. Ideas that never stop and a mind that is forever thinking about the next big thing.

Then there are simple moments like this one - a round of milkshakes, laughter, conversations about their day, and that feeling of, “I need to remember this.”

I made a joke on Monday that this was the week I was finally going to get my life together.

The person I was speaking to looked shocked and said, “You never look like you don’t have it all together.”

And I thought, isn’t that interesting?

Because from the outside, so many women look like they have it all together.

But behind the scenes, they’re juggling, organising, remembering, showing up, and trying to give the best of themselves to everyone and everything that matters.

Some days I’m laser focused on work. Other days I’m fully in family mode.

I’ll never pretend I get the balance right all of the time.

But I do know this - I don’t want to be so busy building a life that I forget to actually live it.

I don’t want to miss the ordinary moments because I’m always thinking about the next thing.
The “Mum, can I tell you something?” conversations. The noise. The children growing faster than I’m ready for.

Because this is the life I’m building for. And sometimes the most important thing you can do is be present for long enough to see it.
