As everyone celebrates the Fourth of July today, I have a second reason to celebrate.
Several months ago, I was approached to assist with creating a new patch for the local fire department. It is with great honor that I am finally able to share my work with you. There were several variations in design along the way, a few votes from the department, and it came down to this.
The first image is the design that won the final vote from the department (though it did not have the watermark for them).
The second image is the physical patch that was delivered yesterday. As you can see, a few things changed in it's creation, but that's all part of how the process has to go.

Today marks 40 years for Lego figures. To celebrate, here was a figure I created of myself for a class project.

In my childhood Lego figures helped bring my imagination to life. During college, we were tasked with creating a new figure which brought them back into my life in a new way. Happy 40th to an icon.
