Update on Teton Pass:

The red-circled area is the road that's closed. The blue line is the longer route that needs to be taken to get between Idaho and Jackson. It adds about 60-90 minutes extra (each way) to peoples commute time. It is said about 25% of the people who work in Jackson commute from Idaho.

WYDOT says they are working on a temporary road that could be completed on "weeks, not months." But I'm not holding my breath. I think it will fall when the temporary road is in place and next summer when the original road is repaired.

Winter comes early and lasts a long time here!
