There are so many things that are important when designing your website.

But the single most important thing is that you need to give it the love it deserves... or to be honest, you deserve!

If you don't give your website the love by planning it out properly, writing and designing for your dream client and setting it up for engagement, conversion and tracking then you're wasting your money.

Spend the time. Spend the money. Think of it as an investment rather than expenditure.

It will return the value to you.

Let's talk about happiness in business. Raels, Adam and Al are sharing what they've been through and some thoughts about how to cope when things aren't a bed of roses.

What happens when you just aren't happy?

As a leader in business being happy all the time is expected. But how do you do that when let's face it, it ain't all a bed of roses?

I've spent the majority of my working life as a small business owner. No matter how wonderful my staff are there is still that expectation that I'll be the one that is:
- always together
- always happy
- ready to rock n' roll at a moments notice
- never unhappy

But here's the thing... just because you are a small business owner it doesn't mean you are immune to the ups and downs of life.

Masking your life to your team all the time is incredibly difficult and there are some days where it just isn't possible.

On those unhappy or down days, what can you do to still be the boss?

I let my team know that I'm not that 'on it' today. I don't have many days where I am like this but I'd rather be honest and not hide how I'm feeling.

On This Business Life we're going to discuss this topic over the coming episodes as I think it is something that needs to be talked about and not shied away from.

The team at Mettro have been all over this review thing especially since the 'false review thing' happened to them. Check out what they have to say about it.

Reviews... hhhmm... are they all they're cracked up to be?

Here's the thing. Reviews are great. Social proof counts for a lot.

But what happens when your rating is downgraded because of a false review?

Take for example our FB page. We have 4 outta 5 for a review score. If you look at one of the reviewers it's from a guy called Enrique.

I have absolutely no idea who he is and why he would even bother to review us.

He's not a client, not an ex-employee.

He gave us a score of 1. Thanks Enrique.

What do we do? Well obviously ask for other good reviews to get our score back up ; )

We've had a number of clients have this exact problem. In our case, it's not so bad but for retail stores, it can be very problematic.

We've complained to Google and FB on our clients' behalf and this has gotten nowhere.

Our only choice is to try to get more good reviews to squash the false ones.

At the moment we're using a system called Grade.us
It's pretty cool and all automated.

Highly recommend you give it a go if asking for reviews is a problem for you.
