Oddly enough, this page is getting MORE views since I announced Digital Genie is RETIRED!
Now I'm "The Impulsive Artiste," expressing creativity freely, and, starting February 28th, enabling others to do the same at the monthly open mic "Friday Nite Live." EDIT: Sadly, monthly open mic was canceled because of Covid, since March 2020. We hope to start again in 2021. Another Edit: Open mic is postponed again because the venue suffered a terrible FIRE last month!!

The nonstop stimulation of our digital world makes it hard to finish a single project without getting distracted. Or even decide which toy to play with next.

Fonts with shapes and textures that simulate varieties of brush lettering sometimes include alternates, ligatures, swashes and spatters that enhance the illusion. Because paint or ink isn't one flat color, watercolor texture or radial gradient completes the look.
