IGP Disu, NPTF, POWA Drive Economic Empowerment for Police Families
…Launch Skills Acquisition Programme to Build Financial Independence for Spouses of Junior Officers
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to strengthening the economic resilience of police families with the launch of a skills acquisition and empowerment programme for spouses of junior police officers.
The initiative, organised by the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF) in partnership with the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), was unveiled on at the MD Abubakar Police Barracks, Dei-Dei, Abuja, under the theme: “Empowering Families, Strengthening Communities: Advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda Through Skills Acquisition and Economic Empowerment.”
Designed to equip beneficiaries with vocational skills and business start-up support, the programme seeks to expand income-generating opportunities for police families, promote financial independence and improve household livelihoods.
