Sometimes the message on your homepage is too vague.
Other times, you’re asking people to jump through hoops just to book a call or learn what you do.

And in both cases, the right people end up clicking away.

It’s not always about redesigning your whole site — it’s about getting honest about whether your site is making it easy for the right people to reach out, book a call, or learn how to work with you.

If you’re not sure where to look, start with this:
👉 What’s the main action you want people to take?
👉 Is that obvious the moment they land on your site?

Most people build a website and then try to figure out how to get results from it.�But that’s backward.

When I ask, “What do you want your site to do?” I usually get one of three answers:� ❓ “I want more leads.”� ❓ “I want people to understand what I offer.”� ❓ “I’m not totally sure—I just know it’s not working.”

Here’s the thing:�If you’re not clear on what your site is for, it can’t do the job well.�You wouldn’t build a storefront without knowing what you’re selling, right?

One thing I say often during strategy calls is:� 👉 “Your homepage isn’t for everyone. It’s for the right people.”�It’s there to help the people who are already looking for someone like you know they’re in the right place.

So before you redesign your homepage or tweak your copy, pause and ask:� 👉 “What’s the main outcome I want from this site?”� Then reverse-engineer the steps a visitor needs to take to get there.

Simple, clear, and focused wins every time.

🎯 And if you’re stuck, it’s probably not because you’re missing something.�It’s because there’s too much in the way—too many buttons, too many offers, too much explaining.

People land on your site, and if it’s not immediately clear the next step they take to work with you, they leave.

Not because they’re not interested—just because it wasn’t simple enough to take the next step.

The fix isn’t adding more.�It’s simplifying the process.

A lot of coaches say their website isn’t “working.”�But when we look at it together, here’s what we usually find:

It’s not that the design is bad.�It’s that people land on the site and have no idea what to do next.

👉 There’s no clear next step.�👉 Or it’s buried three clicks deep.�👉 Or it just says “Call us” with no real context.

And most people?�They won’t dig. They’ll just leave.
