Artist Spotlight: Blueprint
Blueprint is a veteran of underground hip-hop whose career stretches across decades of artistry, performance, and collaboration. Rising out of the legendary Scribble Jam battles, he quickly built a reputation as a sharp lyricist and inventive producer. As a member of Rhymesayers Entertainment, he toured for nearly a decade with Atmosphere, helping define the grassroots touring circuit that gave independent hip-hop its enduring strength. Beyond his solo work, Blueprint has been part of some of the scene’s most influential collaborations, from Soul Position with producer RJD2, to Greenhouse Effect with Illogic, and the underground supergroup The Orphanage, alongside artists like Aesop Rock, Slug, and Eyedea. With every project, Blueprint has balanced raw honesty, technical precision, and a relentless drive to create, earning his place as one of the most respected figures in independent hip-hop. Now he’s back on the road supporting his latest release, Vessel, an album that’s already being hailed as one of the strongest and most inspired works of his career.
