Hello MACD All! 🌎🌍🌏

I hope today the MACD core meeting was helpful in understanding the dumpling Potluck event. Please email or message me by 7th Feb at 9 am, if you are going to bring your own dumpling on 8th Feb. I am making food signs for the dumpling table so please remind me your dumplings name and ingredients as well.

For example

Coca :
Coca is a traditional dumpling from Nice (south of France) but you can also find it in Italy, Spain and Algeria. It's a puff pastry stuffed with ratatouille.

Ingredients: puff pastry, pepper, tomato, aubergine(eggplant), courgette (zucchini), onions. Those are also olive oil and herbs but we can use ours.(should be quite cheap)

🇫🇷 Thank you again Camille and Aude 👯

Thank you in advance for your kind cooperation! 😍

I have a good news again from Manchester!

I believe dumpling is multicultural(cultural) collaboration. It can bring most cultures together and foster a strong connection between people.

Hey CSM MACD!

I am organising a dumpling table with everybody who wants to bring in anything resembling a dumpling from their own culture for the Spring Festival Celebration.

Let's share your own dumpling as a dumpling tapas!
Please bring your own dumpling on 8th Feb. Pre-packaged, store bought, or made from scratch are all fine! I will also bring a packet of Korean dumpling from Korean supermarket. And then I will steam the dumpling at home for sharing the dumpling at CSM.
Please let me know who can bring your dumpling and remind your name, country, your own cooked dumpling name by 2nd February.

For example

JJ / South Korea / Kimch Mandu 700g (12 dumplings)

Email: [email protected]

Thank you for your participation. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hey all!

I’m looking for two more dumpling cooking teachers.
I am going back to my Dumpling project and I thought it was a good excuse to ask my favour. I will run an event on 5th or 12th Feb on Dumpling(although will probably need to rearrange the event date with participants).

The themes of the event are: Cultural diversity / Share culture

I will cater 20 foundation students and make 4 or 5 tables. Each table needs a dumpling cooking teacher. I believe the teacher doesn’t need to teach cooking perfectly because the most of common dumplings’ ways of making are very similar:

Making the dough for wrappers -> Mixed food for the filling -> Wrapping / Making the dough -> Making balls

Thus, Autcha Puttipanpluck is going to teach Thai dumplings, Edgar Ospina is going teach Columbian dumplings and I will teach Korean dumplings. The participants will join all tables in order so let me know if you can help me.

Many Thanks!

What makes a great dumpling? Do you prefer the chewier northern Chinese pan-fried dumplings or the silky Shanghainese version? Juan-Carlo Tomas explains the difference between dumplings
