Are your paid social campaigns performing at their absolute peak?

In this episode of the Builder Marketing Podcast, Josh Ranum of Blue Tangerine joins Greg and Kevin to discuss how home builders can optimize their paid social strategy and get higher returns on ad spend.

➡️Home builder marketers can easily get lost in ad settings and completely miss the bigger picture. Josh says, “You can really build a full marketing strategy on paid social, especially in the last three to four years on Meta, the complexity in which you can set up objectives and creatives and testing and get in the weeds on the tactical side. But I do think that actually developing a framework or a strategy is definitely something that has been missed and misunderstood.”

While many home builders rely on stagnant, repetitive imagery, diversifying ad formats is what actually drives paid social success. Josh explains, “I think the other thing that's misunderstood, and that's really missed is what I would call a lack of creative diversity. That really comes down to a lot of companies and home builders will templatize their inventory ads or their brand ad, and it will be a repetitive approach to the same topic from a creative or image stance, even to the point where the ad formats don't change month to month, every six months, you know, every year. It just becomes kind of really stagnant from a creative side.”

Determining the right budget is a vital first step for home builders before launching any paid social campaign. Josh says, “I think what drives it for most home builders in my conversations is just knowing, like I need to send X amount of people to the website and I need to generate X amount of leads for these homes that I need to sell. And so, then we work with them to back into what those budget initial kind of recommendations look like. They often are much higher than what they actually have, but we can work with them to kind of balance that out.”

How many times have you left a conference or training flooded with brilliant ideas to implement, only to find the new strategies completely forgotten a week later?

In this episode of the Builder Marketing Podcast, Cory Charles of The SuperHero Mindset joins Greg and Kevin to discuss how home builder sales and marketing leaders can turn fleeting inspiration into lasting transformation.

➡️It is easy to leave a conference or training feeling inspired but completely unequipped to turn that inspiration into reality. Cory says, “I think a lot of things happen along the way. Number one, I think a lot of times we go to the conferences, or we go to the meetings, and we hear cool stuff, things that resonate with us. But we don't often get a playbook on what to actually do with it, where it just lives in a notebook, and it's like, 'That sounded really cool. I don't know how to apply it, but it still sounds cool.'”

Successful implementation of a new skill or practice depends less on immediate perfection and more on the willingness to navigate the uncomfortable learning curve. Cory explains, “I think the folks that do really well, especially implementing new information and new ideas and new concepts, I think they're okay embarrassing themselves. I think they're okay not being good at something for a while. I think so many of us want to be great at everything we do the first time we do it.”

When prioritizing which new strategy to implement, targeting the most intimidating one first can drive the most growth. Cory says, “Yeah, I think the biggest part of massive growth and life in general is doing the scary thing. And I know you've heard it before probably, and I know sometimes coming from a speaker or trainer it sounds, yeah, sure, easy. But I would say do the scary thing. If there's something that you pick up at the summit that you know it will impact you or your business and it sounds scary, I would say start there.”

Listen now to discover how to drive real, sustainable change in your home builder marketing and sales.

Is your website held together with plugins, workarounds, and duct tape? You're not alone. 🛠️

Most builder websites weren't built for how builders actually sell. So teams patch, add, and adjust until the whole thing feels fragile.

BuilderBase by Blue Tangerine™ fixes that at the root. As you grow, you can easily add new communities, plans, and inventory without needing another workaround, plus you get the tools to actually turn visitors into leads.

A stronger foundation means fewer headaches down the road. 🏗️
