Hey, I Just Met You And This Is Crazy....
BUT - HERE, BUY SOME STUFF FROM ME.

😡 THIS drives me CRAZY!

You too?

It drives me bonkers when I sign up for someone's 'freebie" (lead generator, opt-in) and I don't get any follow-up introductory emails to help me understand more about the business. 🤔

WORSE than that - is that sometimes, I don't even receive any more emails from them until they're trying to sell me something! 😣

UGH - that's just poor manners.

How can YOU avoid being that person?
Well, when you get yourself set up with an automated welcome email series, you are giving yourself the opportunity to open up a conversation with your customer.

Now, you get to create a warm and welcoming first impression with your new contact.

You get to set the expectations on the types and frequency of content your subscribers will receive.

In fact, your welcome emails will set the tone for your whole email relationship and can impact whether or not subscribers will open and click on future emails.

So, Yup, I am telling you that it's 1000% worth your time and attention to create an evergreen, generous, warm email welcome series to help your new subscribers feel welcome.

🌟 Help them understand more about you and your zone of genius.
🌟 Offer them insights into what they need to know to make important decisions about their own future actions.
🌟 When you invest the time and energy to automate your welcome series, you will find that your subscribers are that much more likely to engage with you.

This week, I invite you to go ahead and create that 'head-down' planning and implementing time on your calendar so that you can put a priority on making the space and time to do the other things that fill you up.

What can you do to clear that space?

👉🏼 Schedule out your social posts for the rest of the season. - Spreadsheet out the posts, then schedule - Use social media planning software to help you with that - Hire an assistant to help you
👉🏼 Schedule out your newsletters for the rest of the season. * don't worry * you can always go in and edit them before they send, but, get them outlined and imaged so that you can click that 'send now' button with little extra effort.

If you're looking for me these days and I'm not in my office, I'm likely in my gardens, or with my chickens, or inspecting my beehives. I might be printing with flowers and leaves.

I could be foraging nettles or harvesting herbs.

I might be baking sourdough loaves.

My point:

🤓 I have found that these activities end up helping me be even better at the work I do in my 'professional' life.

You see, the work I do is usually 'head down, get deep into the work, stay focused, track results" work.

But, when I am in this other headspace -

moving plants around, charming bees, hands in the dough -

my mind can get into a quieter space where I get to feel more like who I actually am.

It takes some of the tightness out of my head and creates a place where ideas flow freely.

That's why am happy to be teaming up with Jennifer Revill, The Mobile Mystic, tomorrow to explore how making a commitment to that creative/just-being space can support us in our personal and professional lives.

I could see it in her face, even over Zoom

We were talking about 'all the things' that she thought she had to do. 'All the things' that were taking up most of her day.

She was so busy 'shoulding' on herself, that she ended up with 20 open tabs, hours of lost time, and still wasn't sure if she'd done anything that would actually move her business growth needle.
