I learned how to braid hair in middle school, mainly because a girl had once brought up how “nappy/tangled” my hair was (I’ve had family members tell me this, but it never really hit me till this girl brought it to my attention that ppl cared or felt some type of way). I’m not gonna lie, I knew I was pretty lazy with doing my hair but (buns, ponytails, and down) in all honestly for some reason my hair type or whatever you call it... it just always get tangled. Literally after that day I was self conscious about my hair. I watch at least a dozen YouTube videos on how to braid. And throughout high school I basically had a different style for different days (ofc I had my lazy days...) but idk if it’s a bad thing but now I am VERY self conscious when I don’t have my hair done.
This is the main reason why I wanted to share what I learned on myself on others. Even though my braids are not prefect, I know they are Good. I have not gotten any bad feedback from anyone.
My main goal is to do what I love, and I Just realized that I live to braid not only on my hair but on others. I love to see their face light up when they see their hair; especially if it’s their first time getting their hair done a certain way❤️
As for my son, I want him to see me work hard. I want him to acknowledge that his momma is a hard worker even though I know some people under appreciate the work that stay at home moms do.. I want him to see all of the little to big things I’d do for him❤️
All in all, I want to make people feel good about themselves with whatever I can do to their hair. I knew this was going to be rough from the start but with your guys support you can help me grow❣️
