When I opened Tanglewood Art Studios, the hope was to create more than just a place to hang art. I wanted a space where people could gather, connect, create, and most importantly, feel like they belong.
And then we had a room full of kids proudly showing off their artwork to their families, friends, and community🥹
Anchored in Hope was a pretty beautiful reminder of why I do what I do.
As I get ready to take down this exhibition and make room for Comfort Food, I’m feeling extra grateful to the kids of Camp HOPE Central Georgia, their families, and everyone who helped make this happen.
More of this, please. More art, more community, more reasons to stay awhile.
This project is funded in part by a grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and State Arts Agencies of Georgia.
