Non Pliant, one of our typefaces available for free on Google Fonts, was part of the full identity of México Aquí: the signage, the wall panels, the bus that toured the city, and even the entrance banner.

The exhibition was on view at Monumento a la Madre from June 13 to August 30, part of the cultural corridor leading up to the 2026 World Cup. It was produced by cocolab, with Fundación Televisa as a collaborator.
We love seeing our typefaces at work in spaces like this, off the screen and at the scale of a city.

This one started as a comment thread on a type design forum. A few people jumped in with names we’d never heard.

Thorn. Spike. Even minting, depending on who you ask. All older than “ink trap,” the name that stuck.
