This Halloween, let’s make sure every child can enjoy the fun safely!

Raising food allergy awareness and offering a bowl of non-food treats—like stickers, glow sticks, or small toys—helps ensure that all trick-or-treaters can participate without worry.

💭 What If You Couldn’t?
For children with food allergies, even a small amount of certain foods can trigger serious or life-threatening reactions. Many families skip trick-or-treating altogether due to these risks.

✨ What If You Could?
By offering non-food treats, you can make Halloween safer and more inclusive!

💙 Blue Pumpkins for Autism Awareness
You may also see blue pumpkins this year—these help raise awareness and support for children with autism. They signal understanding for kids who may need extra patience or a quieter approach during trick-or-treating.

Together, we can make Halloween fun, safe, and inclusive for everyone!

NSC provides grants to families for therapy, services, and other support needed for their neurodivergent child that are not covered by their health insurance plan. Families can apply online and will be reimbursed after services are rendered or goods are purchased. See application for more details.

The Ashland Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force Presents the First in a Series of Public Forums: Public Safety

Sunday, June 11th | 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Parking will be at the Ashland Highschool | 65 E Union St

Join us to discuss how public safety can partner with all residents for a safe and welcoming community in Ashland! Everyone is invited, especially those in marginalized communities, to co-create this space with us and participate in a moderated conversation with Chief Robie and Chief Rossi and members of AFD and APD.

Attendees will be welcome to tour the new public safety building before and after the event.

We know that Saturday, June 10th is going to be busy in Ashland but we hope you'll spend some of the day with us for the Friends of the Ashland Library 2 day book sale! Which means, if you're busy on Saturday, come in on Friday (become a member at the door!) and shop. And, the Friends will be on hand from 10-4 on Saturday to help you find your summer reading books and take your donations as you clean out your winter shelves. So, hit the Farmer's Market (where the Friends will have a table!), go see the new public safety building, buy some books, meet a couple of your Select Board members (oh yeah, they will be at the library from 10:30-1:30!). It's going to be a glorious day in Ashland!
