I was truly honoured to be asked to capture these photos celebrating Josephineโ€™s 90th birthday ๐Ÿ’›

This shoot was especially meaningful as Josephine is the mother of a dear friend and former colleague of mine, Mary Hogg. There are lots of full-circle moments here too - Maryโ€™s husband, Colin, was once my teacher and Head of Year when I was a pupil (sorry for all the trouble, Mr Hogg! ๐Ÿ˜„).

Iโ€™ve photographed for Mary on previous occasions, so it was lovely to be welcomed into her wider family circle again.

Even more special: this was the first time Maryโ€™s family had all been together in the same room in 10 years, travelling from literally all corners of the globe to celebrate an incredible milestone.

Moments like these are exactly why I love what I do ๐Ÿ“ธโœจ

It really was a privilege to capture photos for this lovely family. We opted for a date close to Christmas becuase it suited the family best, with some members living across the water in other parts of the UK. Thanks to Gemma, Andrew, Julie, Hilary, Kenny and the rest of family for being so relaxed and easy to work with.

I had a blast with the McFarland family recently at Drum Manor Forest Park. There's something about the autumn time that brings wonderful colour to photographs, and there certainly wasn't a dull moment (pun intended) with this fantastic group of people. We had a good laugh during the shoot and everyone felt relaxed in front of the camera.

As some of you may know, I am a teacher by trade, and I had the joy of teaching Annie-Rose Neill a few years ago; so it was particularly pleasing for me to do this shoot for her family after all these years. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ
