You know what I love? Clients that trust me. 💁🏼‍♀️

I’ve worked with Tarah for years and every time we plan a shoot we seek to disrupt…to evolve…to stop the scroll. Our most recent shoot together did just that. After sharing just a handful of sneak peaks Tarah’s DM’s were full of women sharing how they’ve never seen a shoot like this before in their industry and that was the goal. I secured a historic property to serve as the backdrop for her legacy and she trusted our entire team to bring her forward into a fresh, visual iteration of her brand. Now, she stands out in the crowd and can continue to move forward intentionally with images that support her. Let this be a reminder for creatives to not fall into the Pinterest trap and for clients to trust said creatives when they push a little out of bounds for you.

Why? Because if your business isn’t like everyone else’s, why would you want your imagery to be? 🖼️

Ever since I moved to the beach three years ago, a cornerstone of my time here is showing people the magic nestled here on the shores of the first state. This fashion editorial, and the creatives, who made it happen, are living proof of that. What an honor it is to show off all of the incredible talent here. A moment for everyone 👏🏼

This new site with fun, coastal visuals is everything we need to welcome summer here on the East Coast. Despite the fact that we were met with a cold cloudy day, we brought warmth with these new visual assets. When a clients trusts me I can do my best work and Katie is a perfect example of that ideal client…she committed to the bit and ran straight into winter water…but I’d say it was worth it. 🌊

The longer I’m in this industry the more I find myself returning to what is real and I think that’s rooted in my “why”. This “career” is a means to an end and that end is time with my someday family. It is not awards and accolades or record shattering months and a client deck that puts others to shame. But, rather freedom found in flexibility. I do not live to work, even though I love my work and I refuse to create a company culture that ever strips that joy away from me.

All of that to say, I will be making significant changes to my collections and policies effective May 15th. These updates serve to not only create a better work life balance, but also usher in a season where I can pour my all into a significantly more intentionally chosen client base and lighter shoot schedule. I choose to create a business built for the long haul, that can grow with me and allow me to serve all those who matter to me, in the best way possible. Thank you for coming along with me, friend. 🤍

About 24 hours ago I left after the conclusion of their last wine dinner of the off season. For those of us who call the beaches home know May is a blessing and a curse. It means summer is coming…..but, it also means summer is coming.

So to have spent last night with the best team, celebrating spring, was the perfect way to usher in the new season. Being chosen to document these nights is not something I will ever take for granted. What an honor to be in your kitchen Chef. 🙏🏼🌱

I’ve found real friends in these women and the incredible soul that connected all of us. , thank you for pouring your blood sweat and tears into and going above and beyond to show this little ole beach town how to do it big. 🌊🧘🏻‍♀️

This collaborative collection with .paiya is simply perfect and I couldn’t have been more honored to shoot it. More of this please: real women, real bodies, real strength, and real good vibes. ✨
