We focused on three things:

- Getting clear on her messaging
- Effectively showcase her value
- Creating an online presence that was unique to her, while attracting her ideal clients

This project was very personal and fun for me. Being a student-athlete myself, I understood the importance of getting it done in the classroom and on the court.

It took me halfway through the week to realize that there is no reward for burnout and stress.

Who would have known that one verse would change my life?

When I was in high school, I had an anxiety attack while playing basketball that caused me to faint in the middle of a game. It was the craziest and scariest thing that ever happened to me.

I remember when I returned to school, a coach came up to me and told me to read Phil 4:6. I didn’t much of it and then another person suggested I read the same verse.

From that day forward, I took that verse with me everywhere I go.

When I tell you every single thing i’ve been through good or bad, God has constantly revealed himself to be in this verse. I see it at the most random times and its God’s way of telling me to stop worrying I already got it handled.

My anxiety hasn’t completely gone away, but God has used this verse to help me turn mountains into speed bumps.

I shared this with you because its not only important in how I run my business, but how I run my life!

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be known to God.” - Phil 4:6

All joke a side…I share a lot about what I do, but I want to share with you the why.

I like to consider myself your favorite employee turned entrepreneur. KFI Web Design & Marketing was started after realizing I was born to do more than clock in and sit at a desk until I retire. My passion for designing brand and serving people stemmed far beyond a paycheck from my job 😌

I had no idea that other 9-5 entrepreneurs would be my people when I started my business. To be honest, I had no idea 9-5 entrepreneurs existed until I noticed that the majority of my clients and I had one thing in common: we were all building something outside of our careers.

I thought that in order to be a "business owner," I had to be in business full-time, but being a business owner looks different for everyone, and I found my people who demonstrated this to me.

We worked 9-5 jobs and built our dreams from 5-9, which is why I enjoy working with 9-5 entrepreneurs 💛

Did you know there was a time I wanted to be a wedding planner? Yep! I tore my ACL my freshman year of college, binged watched Bridezilla’s (IYKYK), then boom I wanted to plan weddings.

Let me tell you, I planned two events for family members before deciding it was not for me. Being in that industry requires a different level of passion and patience 🙃
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even though I did not become a planner I was still in love with the industry. I had an entire Pinterest board dedicated to weddings before even being in a relationship 😂 I just loved the decor and the beauty of it all.

That is why I love designing for wedding professionals because they are constantly making things beautiful for others and they deserve a brand and online presence that attracts the right people and showcases their value 💛

I used to chase success, but lately I’ve been valuing peace over everything. Don’t get me wrong; I still have goals that I want to accomplish in my personal, professional, and business life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But my mood these last couple years has been, "If it cost me my peace, it's too expensive."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don’t want a business that burns me out and makes me regret my decision to ever become an entrepreneur, no matter how much money I make.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have professional goals I want to accomplish because I love my craft, but not if it doesn’t support my passions and distract me from what I care about most.

You see, the best thing about being a 9-to-5 entrepreneur is that you can do things on your terms. Don't let society and social media gurus discourage you from the life God has for you. Operate your life in a way that brings you joy.

It’s been you for me and it’s still you for me 💍 so happy I get to say “I do” to the man who has consistently shown me unconditional love.

We took our first picture in this exact spot just one year into our relationship. We returned to celebrate our union in that exact spot almost 2 years later 😌
