Here's a little WordPress Insider's tip. When you want to customize a theme which requires changing the code, you should always create a Child Theme. The Child Theme references the original theme (its Parent), but all the changes to the code are done inside the Child. That way when you update the Parent theme it doesn't overwrite all your changes.

Critical WordPress Plugin Security Vulnerability - UPDATE NOW!

A critical security vulnerability in the popular WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast was just reported today by the WP Scan Vulnerability Database website. According to WordPress, this well-known plugin has more than one million downloads and is reportedly vulnerable to a Blind SQL Injection.

One possible attack scenario would be an attacker adding themselves to your WordPress site as an administrative user, allowing them to lock you out and compromise your entire web site.

The Site Doctor strongly advises that if you have this plugin installed, you should immediately update it to the latest version (v1.7.4 or higher). This latest release fixes the vulnerability.
