Obstinate Daughters Press Obstinate Daughters Press is no longer accepting submissions. That said, we are a small group and are looking for skilled writers who tell good stories.

We believe in independent publishing and are committed to helping other authors, especially those underserved in the industry, to achieve their goals. While we appreciate many genres, we believe it is best for all concerned to stay in our wheelhouse, which is books that are similar to The Pecan Man or What Matters in Mayhew by Cassie Dandridge Selleck. Most importantly, we are looking for writers with strong writing skills and who are familiar with Microsoft Word for editing purposes.
