Seeking opportunities will help you differentiate yourself from other job seekers.

Should You Find A Job That Makes You Happy?
“Find a job that you like, and you will not have to work a day in your life”, is the famous Confucius quote that we have all heard. This being said – should you hold out until you find that “happy” job or should you accept a job that pays well but does not have the “happy” factor? Comment and let us know your thoughts.

Getting rejected is not fun. It’s important not to take job rejections personally and remember that finding a job is a numbers game and the more job rejections you receive, the closer you will be to landing your dream job. If you do get rejected, write the company back and thank them for their time. It’s vital to let the company know that even though things did not work out, you enjoyed meeting with them and having the opportunity to learn more about their company. Be gracious and urge the company to please keep you in mind for future employment opportunities. Impress the company with your positive attitude and continue to stay in touch so that you will be fresh in their mind when they have future jobs to fill.

Research shows that you only have 7 seconds to make a strong first impression, so it’s important to put your best face forward when you interview. Dress for success, believe in yourself, have eye contact with your interviewer, smile and give firm handshakes. Do not display tattoos or piercings.

Is there anything special that you usually do to prepare for an interview? Comment and let us know.
