Helping Christian women remember who they are in Christ so they can break free from false identities and live the full, abundant life God created for them đź‘‘

There is a kind of intimacy with God that requires us to stop presenting only the parts of ourselves we think He wants to see.

The faithful part.
The strong part.
The grateful part.
The part that has the right words.

But there are other places too.

The places that are tired.
The desires we do not fully understand.
The questions we are afraid to ask.
The disappointment we have learnt to carry quietly.
The wounds we have carried for many years.
The parts of ourselves we have hidden so well that even we have stopped noticing them.

Jesus is not asking you to clean those places up before bringing them to Him.

He already knows.

And He still draws near.

Perhaps going deeper with God is not about becoming more impressive spiritually.

Perhaps it is about becoming more honest.

More surrendered.

More willing to let Him into the whole of who you are. Let Him into the hidden places of your heart to bring His light and healing.

Because He does not only want your service.

He wants your heart.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13

One of the most important questions we can ask is not only, “What happened to me?” but “What did I come to believe because it happened?”

That is often where the deeper work begins.

Pain has a way of interpreting life for us. It tells us what to expect, who to trust, how much of ourselves to reveal and what we must do to stay safe.

Jesus brings truth into those conclusions, not to shame us for making them, but to free us from living beneath them.

Ask Him gently today: What have I believed that You never said?

What if the season you’re asking God to take you out of is the very season He is using to prepare you?

Preparation rarely feels like preparation when you’re in it.

Sometimes it feels like a door closing.

Like waiting longer than you expected.

Like having your faith stretched beyond what feels comfortable.

Like old ways of thinking being challenged.

Like being asked to release what once felt certain.

Like God doing a deeper work in you before anything around you begins to change.

But throughout Scripture, we see this pattern again and again.

God develops in private what will eventually be required in public.

He builds perseverance.

Deepens trust.

Refines character.

Renews the mind.

And teaches us to depend on Him rather than the outcome we are hoping for.

So perhaps the question in this season isn’t only:

“God, when will this change?”

Perhaps it is also:

“God, what are You forming in me here?”

Don’t be so quick to dismiss the season because it doesn’t look like where you thought you would be.

God can do extraordinary work in the places that feel like waiting rooms.

You may not see what He is preparing you for yet. But you can trust the One preparing you. đź‘‘
