Just a quick note to our clients. One of my author clients approached me this past week about concerns with AI scraping her site to learn how to write fiction etc. Her concerns are quite valid. After some research about how to prevent this and chatting with another person in the industry, I implemented some code on the author's site that tells scraping mechanisms to buzz off. Those who aren't bad players will leave at the time the site loads. There will always be those who don't follow the rules, but companies like ChatGPT and Gemini should leave immediately when their bots see the code.

The offices are closed the 13th through the 21st, so you might find a slight delay if you message during those times, but we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks! I finally had the time to revamp Word Museum and how exciting it is to get back to my first website and my roots in design and promotion. Stay tuned, because she is going to be amazing again. I am beyond excited at the changes. If you were one of my original authors with a page at WM, look for an email from me. I have a freebie for you to celebrate the history of the site and where we are headed in the future as well as a thank you for being part of the early days of Word Museum. I can't wait to get everything in place over the next few weeks and send you details. I know several of you are on my friend list. I may have to track the rest of you down since emails have changed since the late 1990s and early 2000s.

To get with the 2020s, we will be adding a social media presence, and I'll be revamping my 10K mailing list into a newsletter (I will have to offer an opt-in to keep things kosher, but I expect many of the visitors to WM who have hung in there to sign up for it). Feel free to reach out if you have ideas, questions, want to see something come back. The new design is modern but nods to the original site via a historical tour. You're going to love it. I'll also be unveiling more author interviews with my clients and focusing on highlights of their books. My business clients will still be featured on Promo Warriors as we revamp that site, keeping the two more separate because of audience segmentation for better promotional campaigns.
