What a year it’s been!

2025 has been full of exciting projects and plenty of moments that have reminded me exactly why I love what I do.

A real highlight has been working with some brilliant associate VAs who’ve stepped in and supported me when I’ve occasionally bitten off more than I can chew. 🙃 Your help has been invaluable.

To my wonderful clients, collaborators, and everyone who takes the time to like, comment or share my posts – thank you. Your trust, encouragement and support mean more than you know.

As I prepare to take a well-earned break, I’d like to wish you all a happy, healthy and peaceful Christmas.

Here’s to a calm, productive 2026, full of opportunities to do more of what you love. ❤️

You can’t do it all yourself – and you don’t have to.

If you’re spinning too many plates, here’s a simple exercise that can bring instant clarity.

Spend a week jotting down every task you handle, big or small. Then look at your list and group each task into three categories:

📝 The ones only you can do
📝 The ones you’d like to delegate eventually
📝 The ones you could delegate right now

You’ll quickly see where a VA can make the biggest impact, helping you shorten that to-do list and get back to the work you love.

Not sure where to start when it comes to hiring a VA?

Begin by asking yourself three key questions:

❓What do I actually need help with?
❓Do I need a generalist or a specialist?
❓How many hours and what budget can I realistically commit?

Getting clarity before you start the search saves time, money and stress, and helps you find a VA who feels just like another member of the team.

December can feel like a mad dash to the finish line - inboxes overflowing, projects to wrap, clients to please. It’s no wonder so many business owners decide in a moment of panic “I need a VA – now!”.

But before you hire in haste, it’s worth pausing to make sure you find the right fit.

In my latest article, I share how to approach hiring a VA logically and methodically, so you can start the new year calm, focused and under control.

Three simple words.

Communication. Respect. Trust.

But when it comes to working with a Virtual Assistant, they mean everything.

Get these right, and you’ll unlock more than just extra time - you’ll build a partnership that supports you, challenges you, and helps your business grow.

Some of the best client conversations start with “I’m not sure what makes a good Virtual Assistant…”

It’s a question I love being asked, because it always leads to a discussion about communication, respect and trust - the real building blocks of a great working relationship.

Even if I’m not able to help, I’ll always try to make time for a chat. You never know where a conversation might lead, or who I might be able to connect you with.

Building relationships is at the heart of what I do. It’s how I help busy business owners feel supported, calm and back in control.

Behind every great working relationship with a Virtual Assistant are three simple but powerful ingredients: communication, respect and trust.

Three small words that make a big difference to how you and your VA work together.

Get these right, and your VA becomes so much more than an extra pair of hands - they become your right-hand person. Someone who helps you bring order to disorder, tackle to-do list overwhelm, and create more time for what really matters.

If you run a creative or advertising business, you’ll know how precious time can be. It disappears quickly under the weight of admin, endless emails and competing demands.

A Virtual Assistant can change that. More than just an extra pair of hands, the right VA can be your trusted partner, helping you bring order to disorder and create more space for the work you love.

But how do you build that kind of relationship? I share my thoughts in my latest article:

Although it’s only October, it’s actually the perfect time to start your Christmas planning.

If you want December to feel calmer (and a little more joyful), here are a few simple questions to get you organised:

✅ Team celebration – What would your team really enjoy? A relaxed lunch, an evening out, or something more experiential?
✅ Client/supplier gifts – Who do you want to thank? Do you have a budget in mind?
✅ Bespoke cards – What style reflects your brand? When do you need them sent?
✅ Details and deadlines – Have you thought about RSVPs, dietary needs, or delivery times?

A bit of early planning goes a long way. It doesn’t have to become a massive project, but it will save you a world of stress later.

I’ve shared more ideas (and how a VA can help take Christmas admin off your plate) here:
