Design with a good purpose always brightens my day. Crazy Ridenfaden Cyclists is raising money for HOPE Medora Goes Pink

Medora Goes Pink is a one-of-a-kind annual event that raises funds to support people battling cancer, and NWSB was there to show our support. The day features food vendors, a parade, a 5K, health screenings, a silent auction, and more — all centered on the power of community and caring for one another.

Brighten someone else's day by purchasing this jersey by August 7 at midnight.

We have a little bit more than a week to go until order is closed for this pink jersey. We’re raising money for HOPE Medora Goes Pink Inc. We know minimum of 25 jerseys to raise $500 for Hope. It’s a quick deadline so we can receive these jerseys by the October 10 Medora goes pink century in Henryville In. If you haven’t ordered yet, please do soon!

I’ve literally practiced graphic design since 1986, this year that is 40 years!

 When I started, my best tools were a sketch pad, a stat camera, a ruler, a book of type and a Pantone color book. Not much as changed, except I don’t have a stat camera, I use a desktop computer, a mobile phone and a digital camera. 

Now what threatens my business and other creative professionals like me is AI. Everywhere you look you see people making AI posters and they look the same. They’re the same style.

They do the same thing by conglomerating too much information into a poster that is shared on every social media page to help someone promote their event at the touch of a button.

People don’t realize they’re doing it, but they’re just propagating a template style that you can see immediately. They might have different subject matter, but they all look the same. It’s a cookie cutter approach that is fooling a lot of people. 

At some point this is going to come to a head.

I’m a big fan of supporting local business, I hope you are too. We certainly do need you to support us so we can continue the work. We do best. Support local business, support an actual artist or designer to create the things you need instead of the apps they’re feeding you.
