I have a heartbreaking message from Second Chance Rescue NYC and I knew I had to share it with you. Please read their message and leave them words of encouragement in the comments!

"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of baby Oliver. Earlier this week, we pulled a mom and her 3 Parvo positive babies, from an overcrowded municipal shelter in rural Georgia. Oliver was the most critical of the three. We fought so hard to save his life, but we lost the battle. The news that he passed crushed our souls. It’s always difficult to lose but even more difficult when their life ends before it begins.

While the loss of Oliver is a big one, we are grateful that Momma Autumn, Archie, and Hunter are doing well.

Oliver, we are so sorry we were too late. You meant a whole lot to us, and we will keep you in our hearts forever. Your life mattered. You never deserved to get sick or sit in a shelter waiting for help. We hope that we were able to fill you up with love for the short time that we had you. We love you so much.

With much sadness the Dallas Dog RRR has to tell you all they lost Susie. There are not sure exactly what happened but this is what was documented in the report.

The doctors said due to the amount of adhesions on the spleen/intestines they were unable to exteriorize. She was truly the best girl a little time but when she was safe she loved and relied on the dogs to guide her.

Run free girl boy did she love to run!! President, Patti Dawson writes "heart and so many others are just broken!" Please leave your words of support for Dallas Dog below!

Black cats are being targeted during Halloween! We just received an urgent plea for help for a tiny abused black kitten! She was actively dying and needed critical life-saving care. We hate to say it, but it is not unusual for black cats to be targeted during the Halloween season. It’s horrific, inhumane, and disgusting.

She was brought into the shelter by a good Samaritan who found her lifeless. The shelter vet is unsure whether she has brain trauma or was poisoned but is confident due to her neurological signs that it is one of the two. The shelter does not have the resources to save her life so Second Chance Rescue NYC stepped in.

We can’t help her without you. She is a special needs baby who needs to be medically transported to a specialist and her rescuers. She is unable to use her rear legs and we can only imagine what was done to her.

She was discovered covered in f***s and urine, infested with fleas and ticks and buried in mid outside a church in Alabama. Two good samaritans were walking past the church and heard the cries of the suffering baby and had to dig through to find her.

They started to clean off the f***s, mud and urine to discover that she is paralyzed in the back legs and could not support her weight.

She was found in an area where abused and neglected puppies are often dumped but we can never be sure without a witness! We are raising funds to cover her emergency care here

REMEMBER RINGO?❤️ LOOK AT HIM NOW‼️ 4 months of chemotherapy treatments have saved this beautiful boy!
Ringo was able to tolerate the TVT fighting chemo which has given him a chance at life! He has gained healthy weight and is enjoying his days as a new dog!

We thank you for supporting Ringo’s medical treatment and for believing in NAFAF’s mission the make a difference.

In the hills of Peru suffered RINGO. A sweet boy afflicted with nasal TVT cancer. What that means is he has a sexually transmitted venereal cancer that is curable with multiple intense chemotherapy treatments. Ringo lives in an impoverished area where the drug trade is rampant. Locals are scared and Ringo’s owner has nothing. She reached out to ask for help. She was scared that she would get trouble because how he looks but she loves Ringo and wants to save him.

With immense heartache we have been told that Pili took her last breath. We are heartbroken and defeated to say the least. Pili captured our hearts and tugged at our souls. Near and Far Animal Foundation wanted her to conquer the cruelty and loneliness that she endured.

After years and years of being used by a puppy mill Pili’s body became ravaged by cancer and became blind! She may have been blind but she was surrounded by the loving rescuers at Near and Far Animal Foundation. She couldn’t see but she could feel the love from all over the world.

Pili, we know the angels carried you on their wings over the rainbow bridge and you can now see the beauty of heaven.

Sadly, it's difficult to prosecute animal abuse cases (even with ample and conclusive evidence) & we rarely see any punishment that we feel fits the crime.

Perkins was surrendered to the Fort Worth Animal Shelter in 2019. At the time, his five-month-old body was bloody & covered in scabs from infections including mange. His eyes were swollen shut. He had been adopted by Lewis Lamont Wilson just a few months earlier.

On Tuesday, Wilson, 36, pled guilty to the felony charge of Cruelty to an Animal. He was placed on seven years of supervised probation & if he doesn't meet the conditions of his probation, he faces seven years in prison.

While on probation, he can't own, possess or have care, custody or control over an animal. He also will not be allowed to consume drugs or alcohol & he will have to take domestic violence classes.

“If we had waited for this to go to trial, it could have taken quite some time given the backlog of cases due to the pandemic,” said David Alex, assistant criminal district attorney. “I would rather have him convicted & on probation then remain on bond for that long. This probation means someone will be looking over his shoulder for seven years to make sure he doesn’t come near or hurt another animal.”

This conviction wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of Fort Worth Police Detective Vyers, David Alex, Sharen Wilson, Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney and of course Dallas Dog RRR!!

Dallas DogRRR President, Patti Dawson, has been attending court as a representative for all of the people who wished to see Perkins' case heard. The pandemic slowed court proceedings & they began to doubt that Perkins would ever get his day in court. The day came, however, & it is largely thanks to our supporters who wrote letters & made phone calls demanding our voices be heard."
