Hi all
Unfortunately summer is coming to a end,so the boiler will need to be our friend again,a few tips for you all.
1)try the boiler on a heating setting if you haven’t already and check your pressure gauge between 1 - 1.5 bar cold between 1.25 -2.25 bar when the heating has been running.
2)check the condense pipe has been lagged outside including if it is in your loft this will stop it freezing which will cut your boiler out.
3)check for any soot marks around your flue pipe if you see any definitely recommend to get it looked at,especially if it hasn’t been serviced for a while.
4) if possible check the end of the flue for any blockages animal nests, debris etc if so clear.

Hi all
Now we are all starting to make full use of our boilers this winter a couple of quick tips to visually check your boiler.
1) check around your flue inside your house to see if there are black soot marks visible. if so please get it checked out.
2) visually check for any excessive corrosion on your boiler flue (inside house) and boiler panelling without taken them off.
Any excessive corrosion especially damp rusting could be concealing a internal problem.

To remind you all for this winter.
Make sure your boiler condense pipe is lagged outside and also if its in the loft.
Isolate your outside tap or at least wrap an old towel around it to protect it from freezing.

Now we enter the winter period it’s a perfect time to check your boiler is in good working order.

1) I highly recommend you test your boiler is working on the “heating” setting if you haven’t done so yet. It’s better to test now then wait for the big freeze.

2) Check any exterior “condense” pipes from the boiler are insulated. This stops the pipes from freezing.
