In this series, we break down big, confusing B2B marketing ideas and make them SO simple, even a kid could explain them.

Today’s big topic: “Blended CAC”
Or in Juni’s words: “What did it really cost to get everyone to the fair?” 🎟️💸

Imagine a fair is about to open in your town. There are rides, games, snacks—everything!

To make it happen, the fair manager spends money on:
🎠 Rides and games
🍿 Snacks and booths
👷 Workers to set it up
📣 Flyers to tell everyone it’s open..and more!

Opening day comes… and 100 kids show up.
The fair manager is wondering how much each ticket should cost. So he thinks, “How much did it cost to get each kid to come by?”

If you only look at the flyers:
💰 $100 spent ÷ 100 kids = $1 per kid

Sounds amazing, right? But… that’s not the full story.

When you really add everything:
Rides + Labor + Food + Promotion + etc. = $1,000 total
💰 $1,000 ÷ 100 kids = $10 per kid

That’s Blended CAC — the REAL cost of getting people to show up.

💡 In marketing, it’s easy to think the ads are doing all the work… but customers come because of the whole experience: your product, brand, content, and messaging all working together. Your understanding of cost should reflect that too.

📣 Paid CAC = cost of the flyers
🎡 Blended CAC = cost of the entire fair

Ads get people interested. The experience gets them to show up.
