This article on personal branding for women is very on point! “Women have been competing for the same, limited positions and it is through mentorship that we can create more opportunities and camaraderie that will allow our personal brands to shine through in their own unique way.”

Today we celebrate women! I'm so proud to be a female entrepreneur and of what I do every day to help build the next generation of strong women by being a role model for my daughter. I love challenging the idea that women can't code 👩‍💻

Design is more than just making something look good. It's the combination of art, function, and problem-solving. When it comes to branding, design becomes something more – it's about emotion, trust, and identity. What does design do for YOUR brand?

Let's be honest. Not everyone is perfect and neither am I (though I try my best to provide perfect results!). When I make mistakes, I embrace them as learning opportunities. Here are 5 business mistakes I've made in my life that hopefully you can avoid making!

1️⃣ Trusting too much and not asking questions: In my first business partnership, I let my partner take the reins on the business and I provided support. Looking back, I would have done things differently.
2️⃣ Not setting boundaries: Businesses have budgets and goals for a reason! Sinking money into inventory that does not sell is not good for business, and likewise, using money on something that does not provide enough of an ROI does not make sense.
3️⃣ Just going with the flow instead of taking charge: As an introvert who does not like confrontation, it can be difficult to voice my opinions. I know that my opinions and my experiences are worthy, as I've learned so much over the years.
4️⃣ Not working on my personal brand: I've been so busy working for clients and building up my other businesses that I never seemed to work much on my personal brand. It seemed like the only people who know what I do are my clients and my husband, but that's changing this year!
5️⃣ Being a creative island: For a long time, I was the only person doing the creative thinking and designing in my projects. I hadn't worked in a team setting until the last few years, and seeing others being creative in ways I couldn't imagine has been so refreshing and inspiring so that I can take my skills even further.

Behind every business owner or entrepreneur is a “why” – a reason for the hard work and the motivation for the hustle.

For me 11 years ago, I was working in customer service when I became pregnant with my daughter. She was diagnosed with a birth defect that meant frequent doctor's visits and special care for the first few years of her life. I started freelancing to have the flexibility to take care of her and her health. She's grown up healthy as can be, and my “why” continues to be building a future for my children.

What is your “why”?

One of the things I love most about WooCommerce is that it can be customized! If you need to email specific product sales to certain people for fulfillment, you can use this bit of code in your theme to add this function.

If you have a WooCommerce store where you have specific products that are fulfilled by different departments or people, and you don’t want everyone to receive all of the order notifications (because that can be a lot of emails!), there is a bit of code that you can customize and add to your theme....
