Let's be honest. Not everyone is perfect and neither am I (though I try my best to provide perfect results!). When I make mistakes, I embrace them as learning opportunities. Here are 5 business mistakes I've made in my life that hopefully you can avoid making!
️⃣ Trusting too much and not asking questions: In my first business partnership, I let my partner take the reins on the business and I provided support. Looking back, I would have done things differently.
️⃣ Not setting boundaries: Businesses have budgets and goals for a reason! Sinking money into inventory that does not sell is not good for business, and likewise, using money on something that does not provide enough of an ROI does not make sense.
️⃣ Just going with the flow instead of taking charge: As an introvert who does not like confrontation, it can be difficult to voice my opinions. I know that my opinions and my experiences are worthy, as I've learned so much over the years.
️⃣ Not working on my personal brand: I've been so busy working for clients and building up my other businesses that I never seemed to work much on my personal brand. It seemed like the only people who know what I do are my clients and my husband, but that's changing this year!
️⃣ Being a creative island: For a long time, I was the only person doing the creative thinking and designing in my projects. I hadn't worked in a team setting until the last few years, and seeing others being creative in ways I couldn't imagine has been so refreshing and inspiring so that I can take my skills even further.
