📖 What Readers Are Saying About Journey to the West
I was very pleased to receive this thoughtful message from a reader, Reta, about Journey to the West.
One part of her feedback particularly stayed with me:
“You said if you have learned anything, it is that success is always possible, whatever your situation and however your life begins. That line carries the whole book in a single sentence, and it clearly comes from someone who actually lived through the distance between those two starting points.”
She also described the book as more than simply a memoir, but as a bridge between China and the West, giving readers a more personal and human understanding of China and its people.
That means a great deal to me because this was one of the reasons I wanted to tell my story. I began life in a small village in China with very little, and later built a new life and career in Britain. If my experiences can encourage someone, or help people understand each other a little better across cultures, then writing the book has been worthwhile.
Thank you, Reta, for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback.
