Google NAKBA went to the Globe & Mail newspaper building on King St East downtown Toronto. They purport to be Canada's national authority on news. I did a search on their web site for articles touching on Palestine for the last 3 months. They published only 20 with a total reading time of 98 minutes, just a bit over 1 minute a day. That's pathetic. The paper is owned by the Thompson family, Canada's richest people with $54Billion. With that kind of money you'd think they would support Palestine but billionaires are Zionists.
The subway was a problematic, no elevator at King station for my cart so I excited at Union Station and had a 20 minute walk. The area was very quiet at 11am. A Toronto bike-share station took the sidewalk space in front of the main doors but there was room to the east and west and across the street to set up "Google NAKBA People", "Gaza Faces", "Israel Murders Medical People" and Israel targets Journalist, Truth Is its Enemy" placards. The display impactful, although many people avoided looking. Manouch made the long long trip in from Mississauga on transit, then Shaheer and Emily arrived. Gigi drove in from Mississauga so we made a good crew.
Security came out to ask just one question, did we have a schedule? No. I thought the Globe & Mail brass might say hello but they probably didn't want to acknowledge we were there and our reason. They didn't call police. A couple Zionists had to speak their mind, the first said "I guess you want to see a lot of dead Jews?" I had a few choice replies in mind but remained silent . A crazy excitable guy was very confrontational and Shaheer told him to google nakba. A woman called us disgusting and I missed talking her photo for the Anti-Canary Mission Canada Instagram, however I can no longer post to that page, I get blocked. Several people took pins at the busy lunch hour and a few consented to pose with the google NAKBA meme. Gigi managed to cram all the placards, cart and 3 people in her car.
Next we visit the Toronto Sun, Financial Post, CP24 and the Toronto Star Newspaper. All follow the Zionist lead.
