Freelancers, BIG news to share!

I'm thrilled to announce the debut of Expert•ish Freelancer, my FREE newsletter to help you jumpstart or elevate your freelance writing business.

🚀 Launching April 5, 2024, the newsletter will be packed with practical tools, actionable tips, expert insights, helpful resources, and time-saving templates. I’ll be sharing what’s worked (and not worked) for me over the last 35 years as a freelance writer. Expert•ish Freelancer will help you save time, make money, gain confidence, work smarter—and create the lifestyle that works for you. Sign up now! https://expertishfreelancer.com/newsletter-signup/

🧐 What’s with the name?

In case you were wondering, I decided to call this newsletter Expert•ish Freelancer because a big part of making it as a freelancer is confidence. Whether you’re a writer, designer, virtual assistant, transcriptionist, or other freelancer, I know imposter syndrome can rear its ugly head and quickly sink your confidence. If you don’t keep self-doubt in check, it can tank your business. So, the newsletter name conveys that you’re good enough, talented enough, and expert enough to succeed. You just have to believe it. Beyond providing insights, tips, and tools, Expert•ish Freelancer will talk about having the right mindset. These days, we could all use a dose of positivity, amiright? 😉

Please take a moment and subscribe to Expert•ish Freelancer. The first newsletter will go out April 5, 2024, and then you can expect to receive a new issue every other Friday afternoon.

I would love your help spreading the word and would so appreciate it if you could share this post with your network. Please and thank you.

If you crave the freedom, independence, and flexibility to earn as much as you can, be your own boss, set your own schedule, and work from anywhere, then you’re ready to be a freelancer. And if you think you’re not “expert enough” to succeed as a freelance writer, think again.

Whoa! Put down that donut. (No judgment--just looking out for your health!) If you think the biggest risk factor to good health is smoking or genetics, think again. According to Stephen Kopecky, MD, a preventive cardiologist at the Mayo Clinic, “nutrition is now the number one cause of early death and early disease in our country and the world." Moreover, he says that while having genes for disease will increase your risk by 30% to 40%, having a bad lifestyle for disease will increase your risk by 300% to 400%. Ready to learn more? Read my first piece for WebMD.
