The choice to invest in my business, however, was a step in making the shift from freelancer to entrepreneur. With better knowledge of my finances and the ability to outsource administrative tasks to a VA, I was in a position to consider the big-picture strategy.

Happy April! It's almost time for GoGreen Seattle. I attended a few times but this year I'm presenting. The conference is 100% virtual, so you don't need to be near Seattle to attend (I will, however, be sharing some resources that are specific to Seattle and Bellevue).

In this case, I liked seeing the message, "All copies in use." Not only are libraries starting to carry Rethink the Bins, but people are checking out the book! If you want to see it in your public library, all you need to do is ask a librarian. They can order it. (If you prefer to buy a copy, though, don't let me stop you.)

I received a curious request today via the contact form on my website. The writer proposed doing a guest blog post. His topic? How people with disabilities can use technology in their job search. If he had read my blog or even browsed my website, he should have realized his topic is not a good fit.

I painted our downstairs bathroom last weekend. I don’t remember the last time I embarked on this type of project, but it was definitely before I started writing books about saving resources.

Books are on their way to my house! I will be able to fulfill online orders for signed copies for local pickup by launch day. For mail delivery, if I ship them on Friday, they may still arrive in my readers' hands by Monday.

A friend and I swam in Lake Sammamish today. The water was a refreshing 52 F, and it was glorious. This is the year for doing things differently, for pushing boundaries and stretching our limits. What have you done for the first time?
