It's been a minute yall! I am currently selling my stuff on 4 platforms. I wonder about each of you. I would like to hear about the pros and cons you are facing. There is a huge community for every platform. Getting involved in the reselling community on youtube has opened my eyes to so many opportunities.
Identify who your buyer is. Are they buying for themselves, as a gift or to resell for profit? Very intresting opportunities!
Has anyone tried buying or selling on whatnot? What are your thoughts? Pros? Cons?
I'm digging in and hearing great things. We shall see!

How to unlock the power of the youtube selling platform..here are some ideas.
Every seller has their own policies and rules. Learning live is bumpy and exhilarating.
How we do it now..
Present stuff for sale on Youtube video..share thru facebook..funnel into email..register..paypal invoice created...paid..ship
In the future..
Present stuff for sale on Youtube video...share thru Facebook and funnel into the website..register /login...shop individual veteran stores or choose from prelisted lots...pay..ship
Live Youtube auctions
Trivia
Bingo
Races
Tournaments and the list goes on and on.
Using the youtube platform as an income stream takes time to build..alot of time..if you have what they want, your channel will grow quickly and your sales will benefit.
Couple things I have learned so far..
Everyone has a youtube chanel. Your youtube chanel and your youtube studio have more functions avalible when opened on a laptop/desktop computer. Find the about us page..fill it out..use keywords to describe what you sell and how you sell it.
Incredible support shown within the reseller community. This platform is wide open..I would like to know how you use youtube..since 2008, I have used the tubes to learn how to do almost anythin..the last 51 days..I have discovered a live, interactive selling platform..and I'm hooked!! Howdy yall! Hope everyone is having the best day! Did you know...the laws of supply and demand tell us when demand is high and supply is low prices tend to rise. Look over your inventory. Check current sold comps against avaliable listings and adjust accordingly. While there, spruce up your photos and revise your listings. The algorithms like revisions. They float your listings to the top of the search results.

We are entering Quarter 4. It's time to list everything holiday. If your item is black, orange, red or green in color...no matter the item.. List It. Items made in these colors sell the best October thru December.

Tip..if you have similar items, say 5 cinnamon brooms with 5 different ribbon colors and you don't want to make 5 listings, use the similar items as a backdrop and highlight the item for sale. Buyers will see that you have the color they want and they will reach out. Be careful to update your listings pictures as your items sell.
P.S. Two online categories are experiencing a tremendous growth in sales.
Basic Essentials and Health and Beauty.
If you have items in these catagories..now is the time!

Heading into fall, 2021, jeans and hoodies have the top spot in the clothing catagory right alongside Activewear and outdoor jackets. Games (tabletop, role playing, card games, puzzles and dice) are showing a steady increase in price. Supplies are low and vintage (before 2001) hold higher value.
Take away's this week. Order tape when you open the last pack! USPS has holiday print flat rate envelopes available in their free supply store. They are festive.
Putting reports off is silly. Run the reports and understand what effort pays you the most for your time. The results cause change and change is growth.

The key to selling your stuff is knowing what you have.
Tiny nuggets of gold exist everywhere. Start looking. Here are some intresting solds i ran across this week..collectors and collections😎.
$300 WWII uniform buttons, yup.
$600 old toy marble, yes sir!
$1000 pocket knife.
$13,000 stamp..and so much more.

Hello fellow seller! I hope this finds you enjoying your day! Tomarrow is Easter and Spring is in full bloom here in Middle Tennessee. 2021 is off to a great start!

I wanted to drop a post about Online Branding. Logos, Colors, Style, Font, and Feeling are all part of your brand. They are also part of the retail shopping experience in which we are trying to create online.
Consistency is key. Try a bunch. Photograph examples. Pick your favorite.
Your Brand is not just a tag, it is the way you do things. It is the way you craft your listing to convey your enthusiam. # 🤩Contagious!
It is how you style your items pics. It is a handwritten note or an index card with detailed information for insurance and archives.
It is important. Just as important as your word. Each item has your stamp of approval as well as your personal authentication. Your brand is a way to create trust with your market.
Buyers will seek out your items because the way you do things. Your tag is a way for them to find you.. Your brand is what they tell their friends about.

🔁Repeat customers🌸often shop your store first because they found a particular something and they are "on the look out" for similar items.

What I learned this week..
Research for listings easily becomes a rabbit hole. Save ⏳ When picking out what stuff you want to sell online, start with less than 10 items. Start with what you like. Group your items into small collections, things of the same nature or time period.
What groups the items together?
Example: Records
This keyword needs to be in your title, your tags and your description.
Find reputable comparible prices (comps) for each item. Note where those comps sold, for how much and what category the item was sold in. Compare as a group to estimate the best platform to list your individual items using comps for that group.

🐣 I found a new comps tool on sellhound. Its in the app store. Clothing/ shoes only but very impressive!

Did you know telling your items story increases its value? When researching your items target market, think about the who, what, when, where, and why to uncover the "how" to sell your your stuff online.

If you use pages, groups or marketplace to sell your stuff, you already know they have implemented a new algorithm to reduce spam. Organic (free) posts are still allowed but you must do your research and follow the rules to be seen in the feeds.
1st.- No more "calls to action". A "call to action" urges the consumer to act when they see your post. Click here, message for details, call for details, outside links or anything that pulls the reader outside Facebook will trigger the algorithm to hide your post. The only person who will see it is you.
2nd.- Keep all your contact information valid and up to date so people can reach you. Users can like, comment, share, follow your post, message you, email or call from your page. Keep up with the responses. Answer questions and messages as soon as possible. Facebook keeps up with your response time and your customer responses. Based on how well you do, the more people outside your friends will see your posts.
Groups are an easy way to test the waters, find your target audience and gain response as long as you follow the individual rules. If your post is declined from one group, no problem. Two groups decline your post and you will not be able to post in groups for a period of time. (Facebook Jail)
Organic (free) posts receive 2.1% reach overall. Use them to figure out what works for you. Find your target audience, create posts that people can see and engage with. When you see results and are ready to launch your promotion, think about boosting your offer. For as little as $1 a day, you can reach 2.8 million users who are in the market and motivated to buy.

Did you know ! you ! are the best person to list your stuff. You know all the small details that make the research simple. You know the story and the uses of your stuff. Use this to your advantage.
Create listings that grab the customers attention. Keep your feedback and seller scores high to create the right ambiance for the impulse buyer to buy. You want the process to be effortless. Their experience needs to make sense.
Most platforms have the steps figured out for you. Go with the flow, awnser all the questions. Open every radio box, triangle, three dot icon and question mark. Read and re-read your drafts.
TIP: Wait until you have done the research, then create your ad. Some platforms do not allow you to change titles or discription content once your post goes live. Changes cost time and money.
Side note: People are searching for used radio controlled ( RC ) replacement parts and servos. Don't throw those broken rc planes away! Sell your stuff online!

Did you know online sales are up across the nation? People are changing the way they buy.
Listing fees are increasing. Take the time to watch your fees. Some selling platforms offer bundle services. Understand your metrics. If your stuff hasn't sold in 30 days, update the post with fresh content and adjust price if needed.
Always research your comps. Like for like. Is it unique? That changes everything. Showcase the highlights.
Use your listing as a window into your store. Allow the ambiance to shine thru your writing. Descriptions are key (think keyword). Use words other people use to describe your stuff.
Local charaties are always in need. Donate your stuff and reclaim your space.
Couple points of interest-
Used condition items still hold value.
Vintage Antique Fabrics are fetching a stiff price. Sold by the 5 inch square and refered to as a charm squares or blocks. Entire collections sell.
Coin collections are selling like wildfire. The demand is high.
It is a seller's market.
