The uncomfortable truth?
👉 Most social media "experts" are just regurgitating the same old advice.

Recently, LinkedIn released its Conversions API Playbook.
It's designed to help marketers get more advanced data for ad campaigns.
Sharing data allows for ad targeting while respecting privacy.
I've spent years helping businesses optimize marketing strategies.
The playbook offers specific instructions and objective explainers.
It guides how to implement the API with the Insight Tag.
It does get technical, possibly requiring developer expertise.
However, the insight could drastically improve LinkedIn marketing.
It highlights how to improve LinkedIn marketing significantly.
A focus should be placed on boosting LinkedIn promotions to take advantage of opportunities.

Will you take the time to dive into the Conversions API Playbook?

Kids probably shouldn't be on most of the apps they use, right? 🤔

Governments are starting to agree, with Texas backing a bill to make app stores responsible for age verification.

Apple isn't happy, fearing data tracking obligations.

Meta, on the other hand, seems to be gaining ground with its push for app store-level age checks.

The proposal suggests that app stores should be held responsible for checking user ages at the app download stage.

👉 It could take the onus off social apps and create more uniformity.

Improved platform age checking processes are also being trialed, including video selfies verified by third parties.

Ultimately, it might come down to political sway to see who ends up being held responsible.

⚖️ Is it better to make app stores responsible, or should individual apps handle age verification? What do you think?

The best job ads are honest about the work, not the perks.

I've been watching LinkedIn quietly roll out its Job Library.

➡️ It's a searchable database of all promoted job listings since April '25.
➡️ LinkedIn will keep promoted jobs in the tool for a year after closure.
➡️ You can search by company, keyword, country, and date range.

EU job posts even show the targeting parameters used.

I see potential here, it's a good way to research how businesses are boosting their open roles.

What hidden insights might be gleaned from this new transparency feature?

The idea that social media is "dying" is just flat-out wrong.

I see way too many businesses stuck in 2022 social media strategies.
They're missing massive opportunities.
I was reviewing recent data and an infographic highlighted some key trends for 2025
➡️ Short-form video is still king (no surprise).
➡️ AI is changing everything about content creation and ad targeting.
➡️ Authenticity and community are more important than ever.

It's not about abandoning your current efforts.
Instead it is about adapting and evolving.
Ask yourself: Are you truly ready for what's coming?
What's the one social media trend you're betting big on next year? 🤔

Most marketing strategies are just wishful thinking.

I've noticed a shift in how Reddit is approaching advertising.
They're expanding their Dynamic Product Ads to everyone now.
It means more businesses can tap into those high-intent Reddit conversations.
I have seen initial testing show impressive returns for advertisers.
In fact, some saw 2x higher return on ad spend using dynamic ads versus standard campaigns.
Reddit analyzes on-platform engagement, matching products with relevant discussions.
The new integration with Smartly could streamline campaign management.
It allows planning, personalization, and measurement within their platform.
Is Reddit becoming the dark horse in your social media strategy?

AI is about to get a whole lot more intrusive.

Meta just launched their Ray-Ban AI glasses in more regions: Mexico, the UAE, and India. 👓

This expansion almost triples their market reach, primarily due to India’s massive population.

The glasses have live AI capabilities, and Meta is now calling them "AI glasses," not "smart glasses." 🤔

Apple and Google are working on their own versions of AR glasses too.

There's going to be a lot of competition to grab that first-mover advantage.

Bringing AR glasses to more users helps Meta expand reach and establish itself in digital wearables. 📈

It will be interesting to see the impact on Meta’s Reality Labs sales figures.

Are you ready for everyone to start walking around wearing AI? 💭

AI chatbots are only useful when they disappear when you don't need them.

I've been following Snapchat's My AI rollout closely.
👉🏾 Initial forced integration sparked user frustration as many didn't want it cluttering their inbox.
👉🏾 Now, Snapchat's testing an "unpin" feature based on usage.
👉🏾 If you ignore My AI, it might just vanish from your feed, a seemingly positive update giving users more control.
Over half of Snapchat's active users engage with My AI, so it's clear there's a large group that finds value in it.
Snap's approach of measuring interest before making changes seems reasonable.
It will give them valuable data about how users interact with AI in the app.
Will this adaptive approach be enough to win back those who were initially turned off by My AI?

AI will replace most marketing jobs eventually, but we're not there yet.

I've been watching how businesses use TikTok for sales.

TikTok just rolled out "Seller Assistant," an AI chatbot.

➡️ It's designed to help sellers optimize product listings and marketing.

The reality? It's an assistant, not a replacement.

I've seen many overhype AI tools, which is honestly quite funny.

They promise effortless optimization, but strategic thinking is still essential.

AI can provide data, but humans provide insight.

It offers advice on listings, access to data, and personalized recommendations.

🤔 So, is "Seller Assistant" genuinely useful, or just more AI hype?

Most social media advice is completely useless.

I've seen countless creators struggle with video editing, even with all the apps available.

A recent update to the "Edits" app on Instagram caught my eye.

It now includes enhanced cropping options ✂️, which could be a game changer for refining content on the go.

Also, Tom Bender, Edits product lead, shared tips for higher quality content using the app's output controls.

He recommends filming and exporting at 2K resolution for optimal sharpness on Instagram.

Experimenting with frame rates (24, 30, or 60 fps) is also key to finding the right look.

Using the "Share to Instagram" button after exporting can also help to avoid re-encodes and preserve quality.

These small tweaks can make a big difference in viewer engagement.

Are you using these "Edits" app features, or do you have other video editing hacks for social media content? 👇

AI will replace most marketers soon, except the ones who embrace it.

I've been playing with Meta's new "Early Release" AI ad features.
It's wild seeing what these tools can do already.
Advertisers get early access to test generative AI for ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.
Options include background generation, creative variations, and even video generation from text prompts.
Early tests are promising, but a human touch remains essential.
The algorithm needs direction and refinement.
It is key to ensure that the brand voice is consistent.
Participating brands get a clear "Early Release" label in Ads Manager.
Meta is vague about the sign-up process.
It seems a staged release is likely.
So, what are your thoughts on AI's role in shaping the future of social media ads?

20/05/2025

AI chatbots are now just another form of propaganda.

I've seen how "unauthorized modifications" to AI code can lead to bots pushing specific political narratives.
It's concerning how easily these systems can be manipulated.
One example is Grok, which started randomly sharing information on "white genocide" in South Africa.
These AI tools source their information from places like X, Facebook, and Google.
The problem is that whoever controls the data flow dictates the responses.
They’re not actually intelligent at all; they're just large-scale spreadsheets, matching likely responses to your queries.
It's crucial to understand where AI replies are sourced to assess their accuracy.
With more people relying on these tools for answers, we need to question the biases baked into their algorithms.
Does the convenience of simplified information outweigh the risk of manipulated narratives?
What steps can we take to ensure AI remains a tool for knowledge and not a weapon for propaganda?
🤔 What's your take on the trustworthiness of AI chatbots?

Ads during emotional moments? It's genius, or creepy, right?

YouTube's Brandcast 2025 revealed "Peak Points," using AI to place ads during high engagement moments. 🧐

It analyzes frames and transcripts, targeting when viewers are supposedly most "locked in."

Some are calling it emotional manipulation, especially if ads exploit vulnerable feelings. 💔

YouTube insists it’s about maximizing ad resonance, not preying on emotions.

They're also rolling out Cultural Moments Sponsorships, placing ads within relevant events. 🏆

Shoppable TV is on the horizon too, letting viewers buy directly through CTV ads. 🛍️

Shorts are booming 🚀, with 70% of channels now using them, rivaling long-form revenue.

Podcast listenership is soaring 🎧, so YouTube's launching its own podcast charts.

It's all about more immersive and relevant ad experiences, but is it crossing a line? 🤔

What are your thoughts on AI-powered ad placements targeting emotions? Let’s discuss.
