🎶🎉 Celebrating Freedom and Music: Juneteenth and Black Music Month 🎉🎶

Juneteenth marks the commemoration of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and the persistent journey toward freedom. As we also celebrate Black Music Month, we’d like to acknowledge the legacy and cultural impact of Black American music, which has chronicled the struggles and triumphs of Black Americans throughout history.

Here at R&R, we’re honored to have contributed to the fight for equity in Nevada by protecting Black women's crowns in the fight against hair discrimination and advocating for Juneteenth to be recognized as a state holiday. Yet, we recognize that there's still significant work to be done. We encourage the commitment to advancing equity and uplifting Black voices in all spaces.

As we reflect on this holiday and month, let’s celebrate the resilience, pride, and unity woven into Black music and history. Groove to the Juneteenth Jamboree playlist below curated by our Black ERG, ouRRvoice, and join us in honoring the spirit of freedom and cultural expression.
