METAphrenie teamed up with our friends at Discovery to develop the promo graphics for In the Eye of the Storm. Now in its second season, the series chronicles firsthand accounts from people who survived nature’s most harrowing events including tornadoes, wildfires, flash floods, and blizzards.

To capture the intensity of these disasters, we built a dynamic visual language that immerses viewers in the elements themselves by abstracting storm imagery into cinematic environments that frame the show’s messaging.

Shark Week starts tonight with a fresh on-air look designed by METAphrenie!

Back for its 35th year - we were so excited to dive in to creating the on-air branding for the second time with our friends at Discovery.

For this year’s theme we immerse viewers in deep waters inhabited by - you guessed it - SHARKS! Starting with a :15 teaser, we designed and animated rich underwater environments filled with everyone’s favorite apex predator. The promo, branded entertainment, and on-air navigation system were designed to be Messaging First but feature sharks in every element.

Thank you to the team at Discovery for inviting us to be part of Summer’s Biggest Splash!
