SET BOUNDARIES 📌

if you don’t set boundaries, people will set them for you and usually at your expense. Boundaries are not about being rude or distant, they are about knowing your limits and protecting your peace in a world that constantly pulls on your attention.

Think about how often young people feel drained emotionally, socially, even financially because they struggle to say no.

➡️You say Yes to favors you don’t have time for.

➡️And say Yes to conversations that drain your spirit

And slowly, you start feeling overwhelmed. Setting boundaries simply means being honest about what you can and cannot handle.

One thing many youths fear is that setting boundaries will make people dislike them. But in reality, it often does the opposite. When you respect your own time and standards, people learn to respect them too.

If you are always available, always adjusting, always tolerating disrespect, people may take you for granted. But when you calmly say, “I’m not comfortable with that,” or “I can’t make it,” you show confidence and confidence attracts respect.

At the end of the day, the way you allow people to treat you becomes the standard they follow. When you value yourself, others begin to value you too.
