A boiler customer usually doesn’t wait too long.

When their boiler stops working, they go to Google and search for a solution.

“Boiler repair near me.”

“Boiler service near me.”

“Boiler engineer near me.”

This is where Google Ads can make a real difference.

The customer is already searching. They already have a problem. And in many cases, they are ready to call.

The job is to make sure your business shows up at the right time, with the right message, in the right location.

I don’t believe in running ads just to get more clicks.

For a boiler business, I would rather focus on getting the right people to call, book a service, and become a real customer.

That is what good Google Ads should be about.

More relevant searches.

More qualified calls.

More boiler bookings.

Are you just "paying" Google, or actually making money?

Most business owners I talk to feel the same way—they think Google Ads is like a slot machine. You put money in, pull the lever, and hope for the best.
But here’s the truth: Google Ads isn't about the "Keywords" you pick. It’s about the Intent of the person searching.
Think about it. If someone searches for "car wash," they might just be bored. But if they search for "emergency car detailing before an event," they are ready to pay now.
If your ads are showing up for the wrong people, you’re just donating your hard-earned money to Google. Stop doing that.
I’m helping businesses fix this by focusing on what the customer actually wants, not just what they type.
Quick question for the business owners here:
What is the one thing about Google Ads that frustrates you the most? Is it the cost, or just not getting enough bookings?
Let’s chat in the comments. I’d love to help you clear the confusion! 👇

Is Your Google Ads Budget Being Wasted? | Free Google Ads Audit for Local Businesses

Are you spending money on Google Ads but not getting enough calls, leads, or sales?

The problem may not be your budget.

It could be your campaign structure, targeting, keywords, negative keywords, bidding strategy, conversion tracking, call tracking, or landing page experience.

In this video, I walk through how I audit a Google Ads account to find what is really holding a campaign back and where the budget may be leaking.

My Google Ads audit covers:

• Campaign strategy and structure
• Keyword and match type analysis
• Negative keyword gaps
• Ad copy and messaging
• Quality Score factors
• Bidding and budget allocation
• Geo and audience targeting
• Conversion and phone call tracking
• Spam and irrelevant traffic
• Landing page experience
• Actionable optimization recommendations

The goal is simple: understand what is happening inside your account before spending more money.

If you are a local business owner already investing in Google Ads and want to know whether your campaigns are actually working efficiently, this audit can help you find the gaps.

I also offer a free Google Ads audit with no cost and no obligation.

If the audit reveals an opportunity to improve your campaigns, we can discuss the next step.

If not, you keep the report and the insights.

Your Google Ads account should be working toward calls, leads, and sales, not just clicks.

Your Google Ads Campaign May Not Be Broken. Your Strategy Might Be.

I’ve learned something from working with Google Ads:

A campaign can get clicks and still fail.

You can have good traffic, a decent CTR, and a lot of activity inside the account.

But if those clicks are not turning into real business, something is wrong.

Sometimes the problem is not the ad.

It could be the wrong search terms.
It could be poor targeting.
It could be a weak landing page.
It could be bad conversion tracking.
Or simply spending money on clicks that were never likely to become customers.

That’s why I don’t look at clicks alone.

I look at what happens after the click.

Because getting someone to your website is only the first step.

The real goal is to bring the right person, at the right time, with the right intent.

That’s where a good Google Ads strategy makes a difference.

What do you think is the most common reason Google Ads campaigns waste money?

I’d genuinely like to hear your experience.

If your phone is not ringing, more traffic may not be the answer

This is something many local business owners overlook

You may already have people searching for your service on Google

But if your ads are targeting the wrong areas, using the wrong keywords, or showing the wrong message, those searches may never turn into customers

Before increasing the budget, I would first check the campaign

Is it reaching the right people?

Is it targeting the right location?

Are the keywords relevant?

Is the ad giving people a reason to call?

Sometimes fixing the campaign is more important than spending more money.

Would you increase the budget or fix the campaign first?

Your Google Ads may not be the problem.

Sometimes, the real problem starts after someone clicks your ad.

You can have a good campaign, relevant keywords and a decent budget.

But if the landing page is slow, the offer is unclear, the tracking is broken, or the customer does not know what to do next, that click can easily become wasted money.

This is why I don't look at Google Ads only from the perspective of clicks and impressions.

I look at the full journey:

Search → Click → Landing Page → Conversion → Customer

Because getting someone to click is only the beginning.

The real goal is to turn the right click into a real business opportunity.

If your campaigns are getting clicks but not enough customers, increasing the budget may not be the first thing you should do.

First, find where the journey is breaking.

Your Google Ads Might Not Be the Problem

A business owner once told me:

“Google Ads are not working for us.”

So I looked beyond the ads.

The targeting was fine.
The keywords were relevant.
People were clicking.

But the problem started after the click.

The landing page was slow.
The offer wasn't clear.
There was no strong reason to take action.

So the real problem wasn't Google Ads.

It was the journey after the click.

This is something I always check before telling a business to increase its ad budget.

More traffic won't fix a weak customer journey.

Sometimes, the best way to improve your Google Ads is to improve everything that happens after someone clicks.

Do you check what happens after the click, or only look at the ad results?

Most businesses don't lose because they have a small budget.

They lose because their budget is paying for the wrong clicks.

I've reviewed many Google Ads accounts where the spend wasn't the biggest problem.

The real problem was:
• Wrong search terms.
• Weak campaign structure.
• Low quality traffic.
• Missed conversion tracking.
• No clear optimization strategy.

When those issues are fixed, the same budget can often produce much better results.

More money doesn't automatically create more customers.

A better strategy usually does.

If your Google Ads account is spending money but not bringing the results you expected, it may be time to look deeper than the budget.

Sometimes, a few smart changes make a much bigger difference than increasing ad spend.

The Best Marketing Lessons Usually Come From Someone Else's Business
I spend a lot of time looking at other businesses.

Not to copy them.

To understand why they win.

Every business leaves clues.

Sometimes it's a better offer.

Sometimes it's a faster website.

Sometimes it's a stronger landing page.

And sometimes it's just one small change that makes people trust them more.

When I audit a business, I don't start with Google Ads.

I start with one question:

"If I were a customer, would I buy from this business?"

That question often tells me more than any dashboard ever could.

The best marketers don't guess.

They observe, test, and learn.

That's how better campaigns are built.

When was the last time you looked at your business through your customer's eyes?
