We built a factory at Enugu and commenced small scale production of few products. By 1993, we incorporated the company as Hardis and Dromedas Ltd, and as a result of increased production and expansion, we introduced more products and extended our business reach. Hardis continued to grow gradually, which led to the introduction of more products and entry into new markets. We opened up market centre
s at Lagos, Onitsha, Aba, Calabar and Port Harcourt. As at today we have good brands, though our production and marketing capacities remain small as a result of limited resources in funds and expertise. Currently we produce Isol Germicide, Isol Germicidal Soap, Ekko Rosewater, Divitol Antiseptic Disinfectant, Methylated Spirit, Akacha Heat Balm, Akacha Organic Black Soap, Glycerin Oil, Royallux Antiseptic Cleansing Astringent, etc. Most of our products are manufactured here in our factory at Umunya. They are properly licensed and they have found good markets here in Nigeria and neighboring countries. Our main factory at Umunya seats on a 5acre (about 20, 000 Sq. meter) ground, where we have put up Buildings, leaving sufficient empty land for future development. The new Nigeria government has put in place policies that are intended to help the growth of indigenous manufacturing activities. The policies encourage investment into the productive (non-oil) sectors, and discourage uncontrolled importation of finished products. Since our products have been around for a while, and have been widely accepted by the local market, our aspiration is to expand our production, market and profitability through partnership with a friendly foreign company. And yours is a friendly company. Nigeria with a population of over 150 million people represents the largest market in Africa for manufactured products. The country’s low production capability has over several years encouraged unbridled importation of goods from all over the world. With recent policies of government, locally produced goods will now enjoy good sales, provided such products are of good quality and appropriately priced. Your company has been in soap business, producing soap machinery and soap products. On our part, we have been producing soaps using your machines. We are locally based and we understand the terrain and the market. And we have operated here in this environment for over 25 years.
